Unfortunately, I do want a provider. I do want a protector. I do want a leader. I do want a dominant man. I do want emotional maturity and effective communication. I do want mental stability. I do want to be spoiled. I do want self awareness. I do want clingy, obsessed and safe. I do want someone who chooses me every time. And nobody is going to make me feel bad for wanting those things in a partner.
You reap what you sow?
In May 1945, Algerians marched in celebration of the allied victory against the Axis powers and waved Algerian flags to remind France🇫🇷 of its promise to give Algeria🇩🇿 its independence. France’s response was to open fire on the protesters, a young man named Bouzid Saâl was killed for simply waving the Algerian flag, which ignited widespread anger and a nation-wide revolt began against French colonial rule.
Under the command of General Raymond Duval, France attempted to squash the anti-colonial revolt with a large-scale crackdown, involving massacres and summary executions. 45,000 people were killed by French forces over just a few days. To this day, there has been no formal state apology from France to Algeria for the massacres.
