Part of me wishes I would have stuck on that path since teaching ended up not being a sustainable choice for my future (though that's a whole other discussion.) But the only thing I can focus on is actually creating the future I want for myself and my family. 🤍
Been thinking a lot lately about how in 2020 I unenrolled from the 2 year software dev BAS program I was about to start. Instead, I got my teaching license. And here I am. It's almost 2024 and I've forgotten everything I knew back then and starting all over. 😅😅 😅
I spent my lunch break making this. It was surprisingly the reminder I needed to keep going despite how hard things have been lately. I hope it encourages someone. You can overcome 💪🏾 (nothings wrong w a 3.4 GPA - I was just told it was too low for grad school and yet here I am!)
@CatMcGee14 true!!! I’ve just seen TONS of people not even have an inkling of what their product will be. Like maybe you should figure that out first before spending two weeks brainstorming catchy names🤔😂
Random thought but you know what irks me?
When people say they want to start a business, and spend all their time on the name/the website/the brand, before they ever spend time on the product/the value.
Why build an audience if you don't have shit to say to them yet?
I may start slowly tweeting tech-y things next week, but if you've followed expecting things to get back to "normal" soon, they won't ever be.
As techies (and citizens of the world), we need to be actively anti-racist. Hope all 671 of you are on board for that, and if not...
This morning, Seattle Police erected a "permanent" barricade at 11th & Pine, to replace the one protesters had moved yesterday. If that barricade had worked as intended, it would have held the bulk of crowd in the middle of the intersection all day. https://t.co/OvucsSKZTE
