@jlareauan@freep Who subsidizes the US military protecting our Middle East foreign oil interests? Who subsidizes the healthcare costs of everyone exposed to car exhaust? Who subsidizes the bailouts to legacy automakers? Who subsidizes the cleanup for climate change-related natural disasters?
@ValueAnalyst1 Irony is that Honda convinced me to go EV. I was lucky enough to get the “free after gas savings” 2013 Honda Fit EV $259/month lease special. Would have stayed with Honda had they produced a long range Accord/Civic EV, but 6 years later they still haven’t. https://t.co/twAqDo5kk4
@ValueAnalyst1 Tesla effect? Honda sales down, especially the core sedan lineup (Accord, Civic, Clarity, TSX, and RLX). Acura not doing great either. And this is before Model Y. https://t.co/28N2IsQl9c
@ValueAnalyst1 I think Fremont (instead of GF1) means the first Model Y rolls off the line sometime in 2020 instead of late 2021. Also as a NorCal resident I like that it’s good for the local economy.
@SF_SEC_EVparody @janhanfigo@ValueAnalyst1 Yes, insurance for my 2016 Model X is $40 per year cheaper than my 2011 Honda Odyssey so definitely can add that to the total cost of ownership analysis. (Ignore the Model S P85DL which goes 0-60mph in 2.9 seconds and therefore not a fair comparison with the Odyssey)
People keep asking where's the Model S refresh? Or claiming that a 2019 Model S is basically the same as a 2012. Not true! The truth is that Tesla has been improving the car all along! @Tesla@elonmusk https://t.co/h7vtlTOdEx
Did you know you can own a brand new well-equipped #TeslaModel3#EV for the equivalent of $20,000? The 5-year total cost of ownership is actually the same as a base Honda Civic LX or Toyota Corolla L. @Tesla@elonmusk https://t.co/KVkM3wxGjK
