Luckily for HZINC, GOI was not intestered in buying international zinc assets. But he got away with this sale to VEDL.
Any idea how much we, as VEDL paid for his "failed" semiconductor business? Who decided valuation?

Why did AA exit the Twin Star business, selling all stock to VEDL at face value? Probably because he doesn't see any more value in it. Until Foxconn was in play, he wanted to keep the semiconductor business for himself.
Now VEDL in invested in an unrelated business away. Instead of paying dividend, he took cash via the sale. There seems to be a pattern ....selling personal assets at high valuations to listed companies.
Min VEDL div over next 6 yrs, ₹250/share; add CMP ₹130; add small 10% premium, and that's ₹425/share - now that's a good delisting price / value for shareholders / promoters. See my analysis here.

That WILL NOT reduce sound pollution.

@AnilAgarwal_Ved Here's how to buy time for VRL. #vedanta div of Rs.12 NOW (calm shareholders) and Rs. 18 in Feb 2021 will see VRL through till Sep 2021 without additional "loan" already taken from CIHL.
Is this before or after they stole $1 billion from VEDL shareholders via Companies Act loophole that allows Jersey based Cairn India Holdings Ltd to "loan" funds to parent company, bypassing #vedanta shareholders.
IiAS says Vedanta may accept a higher delisting price. For those who want to know why the promoters need this delisting to go thru at any cost...read below
