It’s April! Camp NaNoWriMo has begun! A few suggestions to help you stay on task. Let’s start with the immediately relevant ones, since you’re on Twitter rn. First, follow @NaNoWordSprints for fun and productive volunteer-led writing sprints to help keep you on task!
Thank you so much to everyone who made videos about NaNoWriMo, voted for our videos, spread the word about Project for Awesome, and supported NaNoWriMo. And thank you to everyone at P4A and everyone who donated! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
There are 18 more hours to vote for the NaNoWriMo videos on #p4a2018! You know you want to click on some buttons. Who doesn’t like clicking on buttons to help stories get told and writers find themselves? Nobody, that’s who.

If you are struggling to remember how you filled your time before NaNoWriMo, don’t worry, that’s normal. You’ll adjust in a few days!
If you’re knee-deep in doing all the chores you ignored for the last month, give our regards to the dust bunnies.
3. Get some sleep. Maybe drink some water and have a vitamin D too.
4. Trust yourself, trust your story, and don’t give up on either. The world needs your words.

Hi friends! I’m honored to have been your #NaNoCoach this week. I’m about to peace out, but before I go, some parting words of wisdom:
1. No matter how many words you wrote this month, you’re a WINNER.
2. Don’t you dare start editing until Jan at the EARLIEST. Trust me.
It’s #GivingTuesday, and you can help #GiveStories and support a classroom in our Young Writers Program!
YWP gives kids the freedom to write and gives teachers the tools to guide them. Your donation can send them a noveling kit! https://t.co/RdBnw1Nk2x
We’re officially in the last seven days of NaNoWriMo 2018! Many great things have been done in the final week. Whatever your final word count ends up at, take some time this week to work on your story.
You likely fall into one of the following three categories this week:
1. You are hosting Thanksgiving and have absolutely no time to write.
2. You are attending a Thanksgiving dinner and have very small windows in which to write.
3. You are doing nothing for Thanksgiving.
This! We write for so many reasons, & for some of us the novels are journeys of deep healing & claiming voice. Absolutely, that's what they've been for me. Now I'm published & pay mortgage with royalties, but deep down the writing is still, also, always, this. ✨

Here's a thought for the mix: writing takes courage. For some of us, it can feel like a translation of our soul onto the page. It's beautiful work but also can be hard, exposing, even scary. If that rings true, I salute you. And I say: carry on! #NaNoCoach
