If highlighted properly, the story of an elderly Muslim man from India could gain international recognition for his honesty.
Khan Sahab works as a scrap dealer. One day, a man named Sharma Ji sold him some scrap material. By mistake, some gold was mixed in with the scrap something Khan Sahab was completely unaware of at the time.
About two months later, Sharma Ji approached Khan Sahab asking about the missing gold, but it could not be found then.
Six months later, while sorting through old scrap items, Khan Sahab discovered a black bag containing nearly 100 grams of gold, worth approximately ₹15 lakh. He took it to a jeweler to verify, and it was confirmed to be genuine gold.
Without hesitation, Khan Sahab returned the gold to Sharma Ji in the presence of the police.
This act of integrity and honesty is truly commendable.
