Restoration of Electricity to Biu: Settlement of Outstanding 63 Million Bill and Call for Immediate Reconnection.
I am pleased to announce to the good people of my constituency, especially the people of Biu Local Government Area, that I have settled the outstanding electricity bill in the sum of Sixty-Three Million Naira (N63,000,000) to YEDC – Biu Business Unit FCA.
I also commend the Borno State Government for paying Fourty-Four Million, Four Hundred Thousand Naira (N44,400,000) to cover the cost of damages to the electricity infrastructure.
I wish to use this medium to call on the management of YEDC – Biu Business Unit (FCA) to expedite the restoration of electricity supply to my people. This prolonged blackout has lasted for far too long and has caused immense hardship to residents, businesses, and institutions across the affected communities. I, therefore, urge the management to act with the utmost urgency to restore power and bring much needed relief to our people.
