Owning a pet is linked to a brain that looks up to 15 years younger. A University of Alabama study scanned 95 adults and found that pet owners had better memory, faster thinking, and bigger brain structures, especially dog owners.
Fifty-six pet owners and 39 people without pets, aged 20 to 74, took thinking tests and got brain scans. Ian McDonough's team published the study in Frontiers in Aging Neuroscience in 2022.
Pet owners thought faster, shifted their attention more easily, and remembered stories better. Their brains looked up to 15 years younger compared with typical scans for their age, and the effects were largest in dog owners. The researchers expected pets to help through better mood, social life, or physical health, but those things didn't explain the results.
Older adults who owned more than one pet showed even more benefit than those with one or none. The researchers suspect each animal adds its own needs and habits to keep track of, which could give an aging brain extra daily work. With 95 people tested once, the study can't rule out that people with healthier brains are simply more likely to own pets. In this group, the pet owners had the younger-looking brains, and the dog owners stood out most. https://t.co/boprBRgeLW
@MA70N3Y@libsoftiktok As was Jeffrey McDonald, a Doctor, Surgeon, Green Beret, father, husband yet one day he suddenly killed his wife and two beautiful daughters in cold blood.
@grok So the treating psychiatrists, and seven mental health workers, as well as, her friend, husband, mother and neighbors saw no psychosis?
The only testimony that could support psychosis is testimony from some psychiatrists that saw her after she committed the atrocities? Is that right?
@grok What psychosis evidence are you referring to? Where did you find the diagnosis of psychosis before she killed the children? Where is the evidence of her claiming there was a voice command prior to her killing the children? I don’t believe that evidence exists. Please correct me if I’m wrong.
@RDMC246071@NiqabNancy Terrorists and people under terrorist control are not “evidence”? Show us videos that have been authenticated & ballistics!! You can’t and that is called peddling nonsense.
Gunshot wounds DO NOT identify the shooter. Without authenticated video of the shooting with ballistic matching, or other primary evidence, in am area under Hamas terrorist control, so called witnesses have ZERO reliability (Prima Facie). Occam’s Razor says HAMAS shot those children. Unless they have Ballistics and verified video, (which they don’t) it’s Hocus Pocus!!
True Compassion VS Selective Outrage
True compassion is simple. It’s the natural response to another’s suffering. It does not have a preferred victim hierarchy, or ideology.
When it’s real, the same ache arises for a child a in Sudan as a child in Ukraine, a Uyghur in Xinjiang, a Yemeni civilian, or a Spanish resident watching their city overwhelmed. True emotion is a visceral reaction that comes straight from the heart.
@grok Doesn’t the Gaza health ministry operates
under the governance of Hamas? Haven’t many independent, researchers verified that many of the so-called medical workers and journalists were actually members of Hamas or other Islamic Jada groups.? Therefore considering these two things and previous reporting, their data cannot be trusted.
@Vincinnatus@GadSaad The GAZA health ministry operates under HAMAS. So far 0% of the numbers they have published have been true. Imagine that 0%. So much for that!
Independent researchers have repeatedly published personnel rosters, salary records, & military wing listings showing that the individuals identified as “journalists & medical workers” in Gaza were active Hamas or Palestinian Jihad members. Common sense: Do not believe data reported by terrorists.
A friend of mine used to say: “Show up on time, with a good attitude, and do what you said you’d do. That’s it. That’s 90% of winning in life." The older I get, the more I realize just how right he was.
Stop deceiving people. Don’t post something from another post “as if” Grok answered it in the context you are misusing. Anyone studying this knows the psychological state of Jewish people in 1948 immediately after the Holocaust when 6 million Jews were murdered while most of the world stood by. Israel was then immediately met with an invasion by several other nations. At the time, the stakes were absolute survival or total annihilation, in context of survival & profound trauma which was why unconventional, extreme measures were considered by some commanders. The outbreaks occurred in Acre and Eilabun, as a desperate, tactical exception rather than a general or continued policy. Stop grasping, exaggerating and peddling BS!!
Elementary Math! That’s the answer to your question.
Two ten thousandth of a percent of Israel allegedly participate in bad behavior.
Hamas’s Genocidal foundational charter states “Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it". Article 13 explicitly rejects any peace initiatives, declaring that "there is no solution for the Palestinian question except through Jihad.” Start with the undisputed 70 years of INTENT, ROCKETS & TUNNELS. 98% of Palestinians took PRIDE in the events of October 7th! (According to Arab World for Research & Development)
You will not find this in 1% of Israel.
Did you not learn greater than/ less than?
Some biblical encouragement for those who love Israel and are on the side of right:
2 Kings 6:16:
Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.
This is awkward for Israel haters. When a UN (no friend of Israel) organization (UNESCO) debunks the lie that Israel was "starving kids" it's worth a read. Israel genocidal? They botched it again!
United Nations study shatters Gaza starvation narrative https://t.co/fBF9v2ql2K
98% of Palestinians “took pride in the events of October 7th” according to a Palestinian poll. (Admittedly Sub human) Two ten thousandth of a percent of Israel allegedly participated in bad behavior. You see TikTok videos, assume they are authentic AND forget basic math.
Hamas declared to the world they wanted to commit genocide over many decades and you refuse to believe them, & project on to Israel. Makes me think of a six letter word starts with an S and ends with a D.
@Lonniebgood222@CyborgPeds Physical books are superior for deep study & comprehension. Holding a book, provides engagement & understanding a digital screen does not & cannot provide, hence my recommendation.
