AI Agents vs. Agentic AI
Interesting paper summarizing distinctions between AI Agents and Agentic AI.
It also talks about the key ideas, solutions, and the future.
Here are my notes:
Many people are flat wrong about DeepSeek.
You might think everyone freaked out about DeepSeek because the model is really good—which it is—or because it was from China, which is also true.
But there's a more subtle reason:
DeepSeek showed they could achieve those results using reinforcement learning instead of supervised fine-tuning.
In other words, they didn't need an expensive phase where a bunch of people tuned the model by answering questions. They were able to do all of this faster and cheaper using reinforcement fine-tuning.
This is a huge deal!
I recorded the attached video with the following goals in mind:
1. Explain how reinforcement fine-tuning works
2. Show you how you can fine-tune your own models
3. Walk you through a complete code example
Llama is the most popular family of open models of all times & really changed the world of AI so I couldn't be more excited to welcome the new members of the herds.
Congrats @Ahmad_Al_Dahle@ylecun & the whole @AIatMeta team. You are amazing!
When roads, bridges and airports are inaugurated, politicians make a beeline to take credit.
When they collapse with the first shower of the mansoon, no one takes the blame.
@RailMinIndia What is the meaning of "Staff" ? Is there any law to let them travel without a ticket ?
If this is allowed by Railway then this is totally unfair for people who buy tickets for safe and comfortable journey
Dear @RailMinIndia
I am traveling in Rajya Rani Express (12567) in 3E AC. My coach is filled with so-called "Staff" without a ticket . Some of them are traveling with family saying they are staff. I booked an AC ticket for a comfortable journey but there is no comfort at all.
@amazonIN First, fix your funzone quiz, your internal employees are robbing you from lakhs of rupees, they're letting two persons win all the games and might be using that amount to purchase products from Amazon and selling it. Please look into it

If you are at peace you are living in the present.” - Lao Tzu
At @Swiggy we saw a sudden drop in traffic around 6 PM today.
We got on a call to debug and found that our users apparently got stuck to their TVs watching #Chandrayaan3 soft landing and forgot ordering food for few minutes.
Excellent explanation on what changed in Kashmir after Article 370 Abrogation by Indian Bureaucrat from Kashmir @shahfaesal. Must listen how politicians had brainwashed Kashmiris on 370!
Programming is changing. Fast!
The attached code example uses Gorilla, an open-source Large Language Model that specializes in writing API calls.
Gorilla kicks GPT-4's butt at this task. It's also much better than ChatGPT and Claude. The team claims the model is very reliable and reduces hallucinations. They currently support more than 1,600 API calls, and you can contribute yours.
To use the model, you start with a natural language query. Gorilla will produce an API call you can invoke.
Look at the attached example. I ask the model to detect any Spanish text in an image and translate it to English. The model produces the code I can use to do that. It's awesome!
The productivity of every developer worldwide would go through the roof if we had a reliable model that knew how to use any library or framework. (The thing that excites me the most is the ability for anyone to contribute to the model!)
Forget the documentation; just write me some code!
I can't help but wonder whether we are working ourselves out of a job. As these models improve and write better code, what'll happen with software developer jobs?

1. Google goes all-in on AI
Google's recent I/O event was a thrilling showcase of AI-centered innovations.
The tech giant made it clear that it is evolving as an "AI-first" company.
