GITHUB CLASS WEEK 3

A Late Arrival, A Quick Review, A New Lesson.

Sometimes, arriving late doesn't mean missing the opportunity to learn. Today’s GitHub class reminded me that the right classmates can turn a missed explanation into a valuable learning moment.

I arrived late to class, but instead of allowing myself to fall behind, I reached out to my classmates for a quick review of the lesson.

Me: Mr Speaker, I came in late today. What did we cover in class?

Mr Speaker: Welcome! We focused on authenticating GitHub through Termux and configuring Git to identify ourselves when working with repositories.

Musa_OTP: Let me break it down for you. The first command was:

"gh auth login"

This starts the GitHub authentication process through GitHub CLI.

Lawancy: Exactly! We also learned how to configure our Git username:

"git config --global https://t.co/7yHNhgn9h4 "Your User Name""

And our email address:

"git config --global https://t.co/RfYDET2kkY "Your Email""

These settings help Git identify the author of our commits.

Erderm: We also reviewed directory navigation in Termux. For example:

"cd ~/storage"

This takes you to the storage directory in Termux, provided storage access has been set up.

Aisha: And remember, understanding a command is more important than simply memorizing it. Every command has a purpose, and practice helps us understand how everything connects.

Me: Thank you, everyone! I may have arrived late, but this quick review has helped me understand the key lessons. One thing is clear: learning becomes easier when we support one another.

Mr Speaker: That's the spirit! In tech, consistency, curiosity, and collaboration are just as important as the commands we learn.
