We’re proud to confirm that the Pulse hard fork has been successfully executed on the Karlsen testnet, bringing the network up to 10 blocks per second (BPS)!
This milestone goes far beyond just adopting Kaspa’s Crescendo: Karlsen runs on KHashv2, a Proof-of-Work algorithm significantly more complex than Kaspa’s kheavyhash.
Successfully adapting Crescendo to such a setup showcases both the efficiency of Kaspa’s design and the engineering depth of the Karlsen team
Huge thanks to the @KaspaCurrency team for the open technical foundation and their remarkable engineering work on Crescendo.
And equally, massive respect to the Karlsen team for making this upgrade a reality.
This wasn’t a copy-paste fork: it was a deep integration effort.
Pulse is now live on testnet — and it's already producing blocks at 10 BPS.
This is just the beginning: the new throughput sets the stage for upcoming Proof of Useful Work with 10bps experiments.
