Younghyun: “I really tried to appreciate this moment and have the best possible mindset.”

On finding out about competing at Worlds:
Younghyun: “Officially, I learned last Wednesday that I would go to the World Championships, but Junhwan Cha informed me before and told me to prepare. So I was able to prepare a little bit earlier.”

On skating in front of a big crowd:
Younghyun: “For some people, big crowds can be a burden, but for me it really gives me more power and energy when they cheer for me.”

On handling mistakes during the program:
Younghyun: “Regardless of the small mistakes I made, I tried to forget them as quickly as possible, move on, and focus on the other elements and the skating.”

On his music choice and performance style:
Younghyun: “Many great skaters like Jason Brown and Shae-Lynn Bourne have skated to this music before, so they were good references and examples for me. I really wanted to make this performance very dynamic. It contains a lot of choreography, which is not always easy to do.”
