This day in 1999 Kargil War, when our Tiranga was unfurled on Tololing Top, the tide of the war changed in India's favour. Victory came because very able commanding officers led our bravest young soldiers in those high mountain peaks and knocked our enemies out against almost impossible odds...

But victory came at a heavy cost. I urge you to please read and feel pride in our soldier heroes.

Meet Lieutenant Colonel Rishi Rajalakshmi from Kerala, who left his engineering career to serve the nation, posted in the elite 42 Rashtriya Rifles.

The most fearless masked man of the Indian Army, his story will shake your entire soul.

In March 2017 Pulwama operation, Rishi volunteered to plant expl*sives under heavy gunfire to stop militants, knowing it could be fatal.

Gunfire shatered Rishi’s face during explosive planting, but he refused to retreat, continued fighting until the militants were stopped and the mission succeeded.

After 28 surgeries despite severe facial injuries, Rishi refused to retire, made an incredible comeback to continue serving the nation actively.
