We are grateful to Meredith and Stephen Luskey for joining us as a Heaven's 27 Hero Sponsor for the inaugural Heaven’s 27 Cup Golf Tournament this November!

Established in honor of the 25 campers and two counselors who lost their lives in the devastating flood at Camp Mystic on July 4, 2025, this event seeks to ensure the lives and legacies of the Heaven’s 27 will never be forgotten.

Proceeds from the event will equally benefit the Heaven's 27 Foundation and the Safe Summers Foundation. The Heaven's 27 Foundation doesn't just honor 27 girls — it ensures their passions, interests and impact continue by funding causes they cared about through their respective memorial funds. The Safe Summers Foundation funds the research, resources, and grants that keep kids safe at summer camps — advocating for a culture of safety as the industry standard in Texas and beyond.

(Thread - 1/9) Alabama: The Sarah Marsh Heaven's 27 Camp Safety Act (HB 381) goes into effect on January 1, 2027. This new legislation will apply to Alabama youth camps starting Summer 2027.

Sarah Marsh was a joy-filled, 8-year-old girl from Birmingham, Alabama. On July 4, 2025, she and 26 other young girls and counselors – together known as “Heaven’s 27” – lost their lives during flash floods while in the care of Camp Mystic in Texas. This Act honors their memory by requiring basic safety preparedness to protect every child attending an Alabama summer camp.

Alabama joins a growing number of states taking action on camp safety - part of a national movement in honor of the #Heavens27 to preserve the American tradition of summer camp while preventing harm to children.
