This state isn’t fighting extremism, it’s effectively practicing it.
Saad Riaz was picked up in a midnight raid. No warrant. In front of his family.
I disagreed with almost everything he said. His views were regressive, often cruel, and he showed little sympathy for people crushed by the very state now crushing him.
None of that justifies this.
Pakistan has PECA laws, draconian as they are, and even those weren’t good enough to manufacture a legal pretext this time. So they just… took him. In the dark. Like accountability to law is optional when the state is inconvenienced.
And the worst part? The fear model is working. Over the past few years, the state has systematically abducted, detained, and silenced dissenting voices, and the political sphere has offered almost no resistance. It operates with near total impunity, with no meaningful regard for basic human rights. Midnight raids, enforced disappearances, extra judicial killings. It could get creative about manufacturing pretexts and shoving people into cells. it has done it before but now state doesn’t even bother. It chose plain barbarity instead. That’s how little it thinks of its own citizens
Saad’s views were not defendable.
But produce him before a court. Charge him with something real. Give him a lawyer, a hearing, and due process.
I might disagree with Saad on many issues but I condemn his abduction without hesitation.
CTD fights dissent harder than it fights terrorism. The state keeps sinking lower. #ReleaseSaad
The Vercel security breach is a reminder that each and every SaaS tool your team uses IS a security risk of its own - especially if they need broad data access to eg email, internet docs etc (many AI tools do just this)
Security teams onboarding new vendors happens for a reason.
A woman was about to give birth when CDA came with the police.
We begged them not to do this oppression but they still dragged her out where she gave birth in front of police and everyone else.

The opening of the Strait of Hormuz is not unrestricted and comes with three conditions:
1. Only commercial ships are allowed to pass; military vessels or shipments from belligerent parties are not permitted to transit.
2. The management and determination of which ships may pass lies with Iran.
3. This transit occurs only via the route designated by Iran.
There is an all-out war against the poor in Pakistan. Katchi abadi residents, redhi walas, factory workers, peasants & salaried classes are under attack to facilitate the tiny elite that consumes Rs 2700 billion in annual subsidies. Pakistan is a welfare state for the rich!
I don’t know if the world will care, but a real catastrophe is unfolding in Gaza right now. The heat is unbearable, and the tents have turned into ovens. The sun burns through the fabric, scorching the skin and stealing every breath.
Rats and insects swarm out of the ground like armies. They invade the tents and bite the bodies of children and infants. Hospitals receive dozens of cases daily due to bites and infections. Water is scarce, sewage flows between the tents, garbage is piled up everywhere, the stench is suffocating, and diseases are spreading rapidly. No electricity, no fans, no cooling.
You sit with your family inside a literal oven. Our children’s faces and bodies are covered in burns and insect bites. We haven’t even entered summer yet what will happen in a month? The whole world cannot bring even one caravan to us, and these tents have become the filthiest place a human can live in.
Our children are melting before our eyes, and infants cry in pain. Our families are dying slowly under the sun, the filth, and the hunger. Move. Speak. Share. Pressure them. Don’t stop. If the world remains silent today, tomorrow no one will be left to hear our screams.
