Approximately 1/3 of this half billion dollar BC forest fire fighting budget covers water deliver either through pumps and hoses,fire trucks, water tenders, or planes and helicopters. Average cost is over $3/gallon. Safeguard Mass Water systems cost much less than 1 penny/gallon.

38 fire water tanks left Fort St. John this morning heading to Francois Lake. These tanks will provide the necessary water for home fire hoses and sprinklers systems. 2 more loads next week to Monte Lake and Midway.

2) The ONLY BCWFS RFP (Request For Proposal) was for a 4 inch or less system providing 900 Gallons. BCWFS attempted to call this "Mass Water". The purpose of this water was to feed small structural protection sprinklers; a much different purpose than a Mass Water Curtain

The BCWFS deception:

1) "Mass Water" is a minimum. Of 4500 GPM and at least a 10 inch feed line ( Safeguard provides 5300 GPM through a 12 inch line)

If any Monte Lake residents need to transport anything local Safeguard would be happy to volunteer our drivers time, fuel and truck/ trailer and detour that truck and trailer to your community on Sunday. It's a flat deck 36 ft trailer with lots of straps.

Safeguard is volunteering to transport 30 fire tanks to our friends in 100 mile area on Saturday. That F450 truck and tri-axle trailer will be going through Kamloops on Sunday.

Most BC communities can survive a wildfire with a robust CWPPR (Community Wildfire Preparedness Planning) program. The weakness in many such existing programs is that they count on fuel mitigation and have little to no focus on response. #More_water_equals_less_fire
