The Safeguarding Commission promotes prevention of abuse within the Church in Malta, and is committed to #safeguarding children & vulnerable adults.

In collaboration with the Pastoral Formation Institute, a safeguarding training session was delivered to Tabgħa Foundation (Youth Fellowship). With over 100 members in attendance, the session provided an opportunity for discussion and reflection on shared responsibilities & goals

The Safeguarding Commission, in collaboration with the PFI, this morning delivered a Safeguarding training session to Parish Priests within the Archdiocese of Malta. It focused on the importance of collaboration in strengthening safeguarding practices within parish communities.

As part of our ongoing efforts to raise awareness on safeguarding, Mr Mark Pellicano, Head of Safeguarding, was invited this morning to discuss the work of the Safeguarding Commission with Ms Nathalie Camilleri during her programme Campus Lifestyle, aired on Campus 103.7.

Proud to share that Mr. Mark Pellicano Head of the Safeguarding Commission has had the privilege, for three consecutive years, to deliver lectures to students at Pontificia Università Gregoriana — strengthening safeguarding awareness and commitment among future leaders.

The Safeguarding Commission of the Church in Malta and the Victim Support Agency signed an MoU to strengthen victim protection and ensure the highest standards of care for those affected by abuse.
