We are proud to announce a strategic partnership between @safehavenmd and @tendhealth to expand access to confidential, high-quality mental health care for physicians and healthcare professionals.
At SafeHavenMD, our purpose has always been to create a space where clinicians can seek support without fear of stigma, career risk, or unnecessary administrative barriers. The emotional demands of healthcare work are real and often overlooked. Too many clinicians suffer quietly because existing systems make help difficult to access or feel unsafe to engage with.
This partnership with Tend Health marks a meaningful step toward transforming that reality. By combining SafeHavenMD’s clinician-centric, confidential platform with Tend Health’s expertise in delivering practical mental health care, we are expanding options tailored to the unique needs of healthcare workers.
We look forward to working with healthcare organizations, leaders, and systems that share our commitment to proactively supporting wellbeing, reducing barriers to care, and strengthening workforce resilience.
This is more than a collaboration. It is a commitment to changing how clinicians experience care.

In my journey with @brandsquarellc,
there are a few projects that stay close to my heart.
Not because of the numbers,
but because of the story behind them.
@safehavenmd was one of those.
When I first spoke with Nishant D. Patel, MD, MBA,
he didn’t come with a brand brief.
He came with a story!
a story of struggle, burnout, and the need to build a safe space
for physicians who had nowhere else to go.
What started as a conversation about design
turned into something deeper.
We weren’t just building a website.
We were rebuilding trust.
We were turning pain into purpose,
and purpose into a system that could sustain hope.
Every color, every word, every detail
was shaped by that story.
This wasn’t just a rebrand.
It was a reflection, of what @safehavenmd stands for,
and of why I built @brandsquarellc, in the first place.
Some projects change how a brand looks.
But a few changes how you lead.
SafeHavenMD did that for me.
Today, September 17, is National Physician Suicide Awareness Day.
• An estimated 300–400 U.S. physicians die by suicide each year.
• Recent surveys find about 15% of physicians have contemplated or attempted suicide.
• Female physicians face a substantially higher suicide risk compared with women in the general population.
I have struggled with thoughts of suicide, and I made it through with compassionate care and understanding. I share this because these losses are preventable and silence costs lives.
SafeHavenMD is our confidential, peer-based support platform designed to help physicians get timely, stigma-free help and keep colleagues safe. Checking in with a colleague can make all the difference in the world. Please reach out to us with any questions.
September is Suicide Prevention Month. Physicians face some of the highest rates of burnout, depression, & suicide, yet stigma keeps many from seeking help.
We’re honored that @safehavenmd was featured in @medicaldaily for our mission to provide confidential, physician-led support - so no doctor struggles in silence.

It was great talking with @eliotbergbauer
on the Primal Reset podcast about our mission at @safehavenmd. If you’re a medical professional wrestling with burnout, substance use, or mental health challenges, or simply care about building a more resilient and empathetic practice, this one is for you. https://t.co/gzAB4qOqez
At SafeHavenMD, we know that mental health struggles are often misunderstood, especially within the medical community.
Physicians aren’t immune to these challenges. In fact, we often face them in silence, afraid to seek help or be seen.
This month, and every month, SafeHavenMD is here to remind you: you are not alone and your struggle is valid.
Confidential. Compassionate. Physician-led support.
Let’s break the stigma, starting with us.
I’m honored to be at the Society of Women in Urology (@SWIUorg ) Annual Meeting at the @AmerUrological in Las Vegas, joining a community dedicated to advancing gender equity, mentorship, and professional development in our field. I wanted to share some alarming figures about our female colleagues.
- Women physicians experience 27–60% higher rates of burnout than their male colleagues.
- Depression is more common among women doctors, often linked to job stress and challenges balancing work and home responsibilities.
- Female physicians have a 53% higher risk of suicide compared to women in the general population.
- Substance use, especially alcohol, is a significant concern for women physicians, often related to occupational stress and burnout.
While our mission @safehavenmd is to reduce burnout for all physicians, we must not forget that certain subsets of us are at higher risk.
I’m always ambivalent about these types of articles (WSJ 4/26/25). Devastated for the loved ones and the life of the physician who died by suicide, but I also feel encouraged that we are finally talking about this critical issue. Our CEO at my urology position told me, “If you help even one person with @safehavenmd, then every effort you’ve made will be worth it”. I have to believe this in my heart and soul. That’s why I’m spreading the word at the @AmerUrological Annual meeting (booth 884). We aren’t selling anything to you. We want to prevent tragedies like this.

Our setup crew (me) is all done. Come visit @safehavenmd (me) at the @AmerUrological science and technology hall tomorrow starting at 10 am to meet the team (me).
👩⚕️🧑⚕️ Burned out doesn’t have to mean broken.
This weekend at the @AmerUrological (AUA) Annual Meeting in Las Vegas, we’re not showcasing a new device or pharmaceutical breakthrough.
We’re bringing a product just as critical: compassion, empathy, and support for struggling physicians. 💙
Stop by Booth #884 to learn about SafeHavenMD — a confidential, physician-led platform built to tackle burnout, mental health stigma, substance use challenges, and career fears head-on. No judgment. Just help.
I’ll be there personally answering questions and sharing how we’re changing the culture of medicine — one conversation at a time.
Let’s make well-being a professional priority. #PhysicianWellness #SafeHavenMD #AUA2025 #EndBurnout
