0800 800 2000 is a 24/7 toll-free helpline for #mentalhealthsupport.
We've gotten an increase in prank calls & requests for sexual favours.
For every call we pick, we potentially miss another. By doing this, you may prevent us from reaching people who actually need our support.
That's why since 2018, led by @hauwa_ojeifo, we have worked to train persons with mental health conditions on their rights & conditions.
It is important that we the people who actually have lived experiences lead the conversation as opposed to being talked over.

People with mental health conditions are widely victims rather than perpetuators of many of these behaviours.
Let's not forget that when you blanket cover these situations, you're further stigmatising people with mental health conditions in an already stigmatising environment.
