Human rights advocates, political activists, and over 40,000 signatories are urgently calling on federal law enforcement and national security agencies in the United States to investigate alleged sophisticated "Trojan Horse" cyber-harassment and character assassination campaigns targeting Iranian women political dissidents and journalists living abroad.
The alleged operations—spanning reported operational ties across the United States, Canada, Europe, Australia, and Iran—utilize systematic intimidation, public doxxing, health-related fabrications, and targeted abuse aimed at neutralizing opposition voices advocating against the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
At the center of this campaign is Tiam Asadpour, a Texas-based Iranian anti-regime political activist. For nearly a year, Asadpour has reportedly been subjected to relentless cyber-harassment, psychological intimidation, and targeted medical and personal defamation designed to silence her political advocacy and fracture diaspora unity.
Formal legal filings and community complaints identify Mahsa Nazari and her spouse, Aidin Davoudi, as key individuals allegedly involved in executing these targeted actions within the United States. Nazari entered the U.S. in 2025 and currently holds a pending political asylum application based on alleged opposition to the Iranian regime.
The Trojan Horse Strategy: A Shift in Suppression Tactics
Advocates highlight a dangerous evolution in digital harassment playbooks—a strategy operating under a "Trojan Horse" framework:
Infiltration Under "Anti-Regime" Guise: Individuals enter Western nations seeking political asylum as "anti-regime" figures, allegedly utilizing protective status to gain public trust within dissident circles.
Proxy Character Assassination: Rather than using overt pro-regime rhetoric, campaigns deploy personal harassment, non-consensual image sharing, severe fabrications regarding health, and targeted defamation to induce social stigma and force activists to withdraw from public advocacy.
Aligning with Foreign Objectives: The systematic targeting of prominent anti-IRGC voices effectively undermines diaspora activism and aligns with foreign suppression objectives.
Systemic Barriers and The 40,000-Signature Outcry
Because these campaigns are primarily conducted in Persian (Farsi), organizers have raised concerns that language barriers hamper digital platform moderation and local law enforcement responses.
Despite formal Cease & Desist notices issued on behalf of Tiam Asadpour and a petition signed by over 40,000 supporters demanding a thorough investigation into the allegations surrounding Nazari and Davoudi, advocates continue to urge federal authorities to review these security concerns.
"We are pointing to what appears to be a complex form of transnational repression where individuals operate within U.S. jurisdiction under asylum claims while engaged in systematic campaigns against anti-regime activists," stated human rights observers monitoring the case.
Advocates are calling on the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and relevant Congressional committees to examine the submitted documentation, review pending asylum applications of accused individuals, and protect dissidents residing in the United States.

President Trump keeps proudly talking about “eight women” he says he just saved from execution. A couple months ago he said he spoke to the Islamic Republic, asked them not to hang 800 people on death row, and that out of respect for him they agreed. He is being sincere. The story is not.
While he repeats that line, the same regime has already executed close to 1000 people since that time. They just killed Sasan Azadvar, a 21‑year‑old karate champion from Isfahan, arrested in the January uprising and hanged after torture and a fake trial. They tortured and killed Hesam Ghalaleddin, a mall owner whose “crime” was having Starlink and trying to give people uncensored internet.

This morning the Islamic Republic executed 21‑year‑old athlete Sasan Azadvar with a noose. His “crime” was simply taking part in the January 2026 protests in Isfahan, and even the accusation that he tried to set a police motorcycle on fire collapsed in court. They killed a young karate/taekwondo champion whose death sentence was rubber‑stamped by the Supreme Court and rushed toward implementation despite international outcry. And while they hang our youth, world leaders sit at negotiating tables talking only about centrifuges and uranium stockpiles, as if the Iranian people that have sacrificed their lives don’t exist in the equation. Say his name, amplify his story, and refuse any “deal” that treats the lives of Iranians as collateral damage.

This morning they executed Erfan Kiani. A young man from Isfahan. His family wasn’t even allowed to share a photo of him before they killed him.
Meanwhile our president is thanking the IRGC for “respecting his request” on 8 women. Women the regime says were never going to be executed.
