๐ฅ: filipino artists is no longer asking wether it's possible to go on a global stage. kasi nagagawa na siya ngayon.
grabe lang din talaga ang opportunity ng PPOP lalo na kung talagang bawat pilipino ay susuportahan yung sariling atin.
@_jujubebe Haha sa true lng, haha 2018 pko dito onti lng post ko for personal rants lng sana hahah..then found the BINI ayun prng active na dn dito ๐
Hi, everyone.
Iโm reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help for my family in the Philippines.
Earlier today, a fire broke out and destroyed our family home. According to reports, around 60 families were affected and displaced by the fire.
My five family members were able to escape safely, but they lost everything. They were only able to bring themselves, our eight surviving dogs, and two phones before the fire consumed our home.
Our relatives who live on the same property were also affected, and their homes and belongings were destroyed as well. In just a matter of minutes, our loved ones lost everything they had.
We are asking for help as we try to provide for their immediate needs, including food, clothing, toiletries, temporary shelter, and eventually rebuilding what was lost.
If you have the means to donate, any amount, no matter how small, would mean so much to us. If you are unable to donate, sharing this post would also help us reach more people.

GCash QR code is attached for those who prefer to donate directly.
If you are in Manila and would like to help through in-kind donations such as clothes, toiletries, food, or other necessities, please feel free to message me.
Thank you for your kindness, prayers, and support during this incredibly difficult time. My family and I are deeply grateful for every donation, share, and kind messages ๐๐ผ
Who are you to downplay local tourism?
Weren't some of you the same people telling the DOT to "dapat sariling bansa muna ang inuuna" when BINI was being considered as tourism ambassadors? (I'll leave the receipts in the comments.) Now that BINI has a domestic tourism campaign, suddenly "domestic" is being used as if it's an insult? That's not a flex, that's just an inconsistent argument.
A domestic tourism campaign does not mean "domestic-only ambassadors." Those are two different things. Encouraging Filipinos to explore their own country is literally one of the core goals of tourism. If you think promoting local destinations is somehow inferior to promoting the country abroad, then you're the one devaluing Philippine tourism.
It's ironic because the message used to be "support local" and "dapat unahin ang sariling bansa." But now the narrative has shifted to "global > local" just because it fits a fanwar. Which is it? You can't preach patriotism one day and treat local tourism as second-class the next.
The Philippines is one of the most culturally diverse countries in Southeast Asia. Every province has its own identity, language, traditions, food, festivals, and destinations. Domestic tourism isn't a consolation prize,it strengthens local economies, supports communities, and helps preserve our culture. That's something to be proud of, not mocked.
And let's not ignore why BINI is a fitting choice. They can communicate with audiences in Tagalog, Bisaya, Bicolano, and Ilokano, allowing them to connect with people from different regions across the country. That's an advantage when the goal is to encourage Filipinos to discover more of the Philippines while also introducing our culture to international visitors.
Supporting one artist doesn't require belittling another campaign. If your favorite's achievements are strong enough, they should stand on their own without having to diminish someone else's work.
Next time, read beyond a screenshot or an AI summary before trying to lecture people about tourism. The real embarrassment isn't having a domestic campaign, it's thinking "domestic" automatically means "less than." That's a mindset that undervalues the very country you claim to represent.
