Football pitch has became the only place that makes us happy. As a refugee we've been through a lot and trauma is still present. It's not easy to start all over. There is so much expectations & demands. Nobody really want to know about an injured soul of a refugee " A refugee..
I joined @Malala, @khalida_popal and parliamentarians across the world in writing to the President of FIFA in support of the Women’s National team of Afghanistan. FIFA must stand by their statutes and commit to supporting the preservation of the Afghan women’s freedom to play.
This week is #RefugeeWeek.
To celebrate we spoke to Elaha & Sahar from @DonnyCollege about their journey to England. Elaha spoke about the impact that our @FA Rising Leaders programme has had on her football career.

@Afghan_athlete this is what negativity causes. evacuation was not the job of single person to do. It wasn’t even her responsibility to do it. When everyone turned their back one came to help. Btw the entire national squad is in Australia, youth nationals R N Portagal who you are?
You've no idea about our team and teammates. You better do your research. Please don't use us for your personal agendas. Your Twitter only gets active when there is a negative article about Khalida we are not stupid. See your twitter history. Your a false activist we are not.
