@fallingnmotion @theRazbuten As for the power ups, I personally don't think they are essential to what makes a metroidvania good, instead it's the exploration, and dark souls has the best exploration in any game ever.

It has the best world design in any souls game (and games in general), and the lack of fast travel really makes you appreciate it, making you try to find the optimal path to a location, just like the best of metroidvanias.
