Any pursuit of superintelligence has to be grounded in the core principle that if the AI we build is not helping humanity and under human control, it's not worth pursuing.
We also need to accelerate and spread the benefits of AI, such that they are diffused broadly across countries, communities, and companies. This requires a frontier ecosystem in which both closed and open-source models can thrive.
And for firms, it’s imperative that they retain full control over their unique and tacit knowledge. Every organization should be able to build its own continuous learning loop/hill climbing machine, without becoming dependent on any one model provider, and have the ability to embed its own knowledge into models and weights they control.
So, in this context, we welcome the research, focus, and deliberate pacing needed to get alignment right as the design goal. We also welcome ideas like "embedded evaluators" and the broader efforts to develop the mechanisms to make this more than just talk.
The key is that this cannot be controlled by a handful of entities, but must have broad representation across the ecosystem, countries, and fields, including academia.
This is the approach we are taking: broad access and choice at every layer of the AI stack; enterprise control of learning loops and models; and the “Code of Conduct” that underlies our own first party MAI models that we’ll publish tomorrow for public consultation.
pro tip: get good at sounding confident even when you know nothing. ask questions when essential, and trust yourself to figure the rest out.
because everything is figureoutable.
Trapped with no room to turn, no freedom to live. 💔
This is the life of a mother pig in the meat industry. No one should endure this suffering.
It's time for compassion and change. 🐖🌱
ignore the noise. unfollow what drains you. read more books. think for yourself. chase what excites you. make a plan. stick to it. read old wisdom. watch films that last. mute distractions. walk with purpose. eat without a screen. breathe with control. train with focus. plan before you start. act without delay. clear your space. study the past. move toward the future. earn your way. eat what fuels you. write your thoughts. help when you can. build something useful. read poetry. create what lasts. stay calm under pressure. speak with clarity. fix your habits. be honest with yourself. help others without expectation. be kind even when it’s hard. drop what wastes your time. trust your instincts. shape your character. learn how to influence. design your days with care. write every day. push past limits. leave your phone behind. walk just to think. talk to strangers. feed the hungry. search for forgotten books. sit with art in silence. let love change you. share meals with good people. don’t waste time gossiping. live with integrity. sit alone and reflect. focus on what matters. decide what you will create. empty your mind and play. learn to fight for yourself. see beauty in details. fall in love fully. notice patterns in everything. dream without limits. speak with meaning. let go of resentment. love deeply. be real in all things. choose who you become. keep only what serves you. reject what doesn’t. rejections are lessons, not failures. align with what’s meant for you. read great minds. think in new ways. take risks that matter. do work that lasts. let it consume you. protect your time. live with intention.
