July 21st - ONGC reaches a depth of 1 km into the earth for geothermal power. Inaugurates two such wells for 1MW of clean power in remote areas.

July 24th - DRDO successfully conducted the maiden flight test of the indigenous Kusha Long Range Surface-to-Air Missile from Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Island, Odisha. It is called India's S-400. Big win by DRDO but under appreciated.

High-powered task force on exam reforms constituted to make India’s examination system (especially NTA-conducted exams such as NEET, JEE Main, and CUET) more reliable, transparent, leak-proof, and technology-driven.
The government is set to introduce the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Amendment Bill, 2026 in Parliament (Lok Sabha). Tougher penalties, time bound investigations and sentencing, stronger mechanisms against paper leak.

Everyday India and Indians are achieving some amazing things and taking the country forward.
Issues, protests (and accompanied anarchy) aren't everything that define India. Though they consume all news and media time. Don't get 'black pilled' too much by them.
The future is bright for India as long as the govt is stable and we do not let adversaries take advantage of internal issues.

Indian Gen-Z are achieving great things already. The small number we see engaging in arson & violence hijacking peaceful protests by others, using filthy language, and having perverted thinking are just a small percentage.
They will grow out of it, and more won't become them, if India can take care of the perverse and mind corrupting content they get exposed to as kids and teenagers.
The defining conflict of 21st century India will not be fought over left-wing versus right-wing, elections, GDP, military power, or even religion. It will be fought over something that is much less visible to us.
Which civilization is teaching our next generation how to speak - and by extension how to think?
Is it the one that believes speech to be a goddess divine, an instrument of self-mastery, guided by dharma, satya, and the discipline of vāk?
Or is it the one designed by algorithms to monetize outrage, express emotion through sexual profanity, reward obscenity and humiliation, and convert every disagreement into a performance?
The cockroach protests on NEET paper leak will eventually be forgotten. But the deeper leak is draining our civilizational life force every day. It is because somewhere between the village Panchayat square and the infinite scrolling, we did not just import some new technologies. Our youth began importing a new moral vocabulary altogether.
And civilizations rarely disappear just because they are conquered.
More often, they disappear because they start forgetting the very language in which they once understood themselves.

@PoojaPriyam_ Older generation believed in boundaries. Words had/have implications. Rebellion and revolution often are rage driven and boundaries are forgotten.
I would also blame parenting and the surroundings of their bring up. Schools have played a huge role in the degradation.

Beyond the raw valor & supreme sacrifices on the frozen peaks of 1999, there is an unsung chapter of the Kargil War that every engineer & technologist should know.
It is the story of a 12 day engineering miracle that shifted the course of the war. 🙏🙏
When the war broke out in May 1999, the IAF faced an unprecedented tactical nightmare: high-altitude precision bombing. Enemy forces had dug into reinforced bunkers atop steep granite peaks like Muntho Dhalo & Tiger Hill at altitudes 16000+ feet.
Conventional unguided bombs were ineffective at those altitudes, wind sheer & ballistic trajectories caused bombs to drift off target by 100s of meters, bouncing harmlessly off mountain slopes.
The IAF had advanced Israeli Litening targeting pods & Paveway Laser-Guided Bombs (LGBs), but there was a massive problem: they were never integrated into the Mirage 2000 fleet.
Under normal military procurement & defense engineering cycles, integrating a complex electro optical targeting pod with a jet's avionics, weapon bus & flight control software takes 18-24 months of design, testing & certification by the OEM.
India did not have 18 months. They had days.
A specialized team of IAF armament engineers, avionics technicians & DRDO scientists gathered at the Maharajpur AFS in Gwalior. W/o direct OEM support/factory documentation, they set out to perform an emergency integration with the help of our all weather friend Israel.
The pylons under the Mirage wing were built for French ordnance, not the mounting brackets of the LGBs & pods. Mechanics worked round the clock machining custom adapter pylons & mechanical interfaces in local workshops.
The trickiest part was getting the aircraft's computer to talk to the pod. Engineers spent sleepless nights reverse-engineering signal buses, splicing shielded wiring harnesses by hand & routing power cables through the airframe w/o compromising electromagnetic compatibility.
The team bypassed standard flight-test protocols, writing software patches to feeding laser designation telemetry directly into the pilot's HUD.
12 days of sleepless engineering culminated on 24th June, 1999. A Mirage 2000 soared high above Muntho Dhalo, locked its laser designator on the enemy's main administrative hub & dropped a 1000 pound laser-guided bomb right through the roof.
The same precision capability delivered the decisive blow on Tiger Hill, destroying the command bunkers on the peak & paving the way for the 18 Grenadiers to reclaim the summit & hoist the Tricolor.
When system specifications said impossible, Indian defense engineers rewrote the source code & rewired the hardware in 288 hours flat.
Salute to the bravehearts who fought on the peaks & to the engineers who gave them the eyes to win. Jai Hind! 🙏🙏

Engineering tickets end up completely detached from the actual user feedback that sparked them. The end result?
Engineers build features that users never actually asked for.

Now, what Could Be Done Better (this is entirely my perspective & product is still in early stage):
- Right now, Praxiom excels at qualitative data (interviews, tickets, support logs). Integrating realtime product analytics tools like Mixpanel/PostHog directly into the verification loop would allow the system to validate user complaints against actual usage telemetry.
- Closing the loop when a feature actually ships. Once a Jira ticket generated by Praxiom gets marked "Done," the engine should automatically track incoming feedback on that specific feature to tell the PM: "Did this actually solve the problem we identified 3 weeks ago?"
Praxiom is stripping away the tedious manual synthesis so PMs can focus on strategic decisions while keeping every line of code strictly anchored to real user needs.

The internet was busy debating jantar Mantar & a quiet facility in India witnessed something straight out of science fiction. An engine fired up. But it did not hum & it did not roar like a normal jet.
It detonated. Continuous supersonic shockwaves raced around a circular chamber 1000s of times/sec, harnessing controlled explosions to generate thrust.
The startup D-Propulse just gave the world a sneak peek of their air-breathing Rotating Detonation Engine (RDE) with an integrated aerospike nozzle.
Every jet engine on a commercial airliner, every fighter jet & every rocket we have ever seen operates on deflagration. We mix fuel with air/oxygen, ignite it & it burns relatively slowly at subsonic speeds. It is effective, but humanity has pushed this tech to its absolute physical limits.
RDEs throw that century-old playbook into the fire. Instead of burning fuel smoothly, an RDE explodes it intentionally. A continuous detonation wave sweeps around an annular (ring-shaped) channel at supersonic speeds, reaching over 2000 m/s. This is called Pressure-Gain Combustion.
It extracts 15-25% more thermal efficiency out of the exact same amount of fuel. In the world of high-speed flight, a 25% jump in efficiency is a completely different league.
Why this Matters for India?
For decades, the narrative surrounding Indian engineering was tied to catching up on legacy systems, spending billions trying to replicate 1970s turbofan engine metallurgy/importing critical defense tech.
D-Propulse is proving that India does not need to play catch-up anymore.
By leapfrogging straight to Pressure-Gain Combustion, an Indian deep-tech startup, guided by veteran scientists & built by young engineers is standing on the frontlines alongside research labs in the US, Japan & China.
