@L_redbull27 @ajibtoo@nectarine_honey@caicigar_ Hello - in case you wanted more details/context to the story. I talked to my friend about it, and I guess now I see (one of the reasons) orang tak leh terima the example ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ

So thank you friend, for teaching me that narrative, perspective & interpretation can become soooo open-ended out here on the internet, and sadly you can't control or do anything much about it, even if it's your story.
@AlifAmzari Exactly my point. It's this assumption that is ingrained and so subtle that it's easy to overlook. Tak apalah, dapat sorang yang faham pun I'm already good :) thanks for taking the time to understand.
I got a lot of flak because of this short story ๐ perhaps it's because sis was quite "bersemangat" waktu cerita that the message and nuance was completely lost ๐คช
@izyanizulkifli@MiraLyana@thekhairulasmi @NRYHTUL I felt bad for her because contoh basuh pinggan tu tak reach audience sbb ada subcontext. On the surface, contoh tu nampak dia being judgemental and made assertion. Which is backfired to her. Instead of nak bagi mens faham, jadi lagi marah.
@AlifAmzari@izyanizulkifli@MiraLyana @NRYHTUL Boleh any men justify my statement. I tanya je eh bcs yelah I bukan laki. Is it normal for a guy, nampak laki ( a total stranger) lain tengah basuh pinggan, then suddenly cakap โtakpe, ni aku basuhโ w/out the guy offering pun. If thatโs normal, then I have to admit la,..
Firstly, thank you for engaging in a civil and constructive way. I understand where you're coming from and I don't want to keep this long, but I'm going to politely disagree with you:
I don't think we are at odds here, seems like a matter of labeling. I don't know you personally, but I don't think you're someone who thinks women should be treated unfairly. And that is enough for me.
A lot of people think Amina Wadud & co.'s interpretation of feminism as total and superior. Do I agree with he? No. Do I still consider myself a feminist? Yes.
