Leviticus (2026) - Review

It is a slow-burn psychological supernatural thriller that values atmosphere over scares. Strong performances, polished cinematography, immersive sound design, and an unsettling narrative make it a worthwhile watch—provided you don't go in expecting a horror film.

Its exploration of identity, fear, and societal rejection is handled with restraint, while the supernatural remains an unknown "It," making the mystery even more effective.

For years, I had one very simple internet dream:

Build my own website.
Get it on Google Search.
And maybe—just maybe—have it be useful to someone.

Even 0.1%.

An idea indirectly planted by @praneethreddy33 finally pushed me to actually build one.

So I made https://t.co/hEJZlPBnvD — my own little corner of the internet dedicated entirely to movies and shows. (I added a Now Streaming section too, with a lot more I want to build. Feedback is always welcome.)

I’ve been writing about almost everything I watch for the past few years, and cinema has been an obsession since childhood, so owning a place for all of it felt like the natural next step.

(And thanks to @harshithv_ for all the BTS support.)

But something funny happened after I launched it.

I’ve barely been on X for the past few months beyond posting once or twice a day.

And suddenly my timeline is full of people building their own websites.

Personal sites. Side projects. Passion projects. Random experiments.

AI has made building things so accessible that people can finally turn ideas they’ve carried around for years into something real—even if it’s just for fun.

And that left me with a weird thought:

Did I finally build something I’d wanted for years… right when everyone else started doing the same thing?

Or are we simply seeing ideas spread from one person to another until more people realize:

“Wait, I can build this too.”

Something I thought would feel uniquely exciting to me suddenly feels increasingly common.

Maybe that isn’t a bad thing.

Maybe the interesting question now isn’t who built a website first?

It’s:

Where do we take it from here?

Curious if anyone else building their own little corner of the internet has felt this too.

THE FURIOUS (2026) 🥊

Relentless martial arts action with plenty of punches, kicks & ambitious choreography — but only a few truly land.

For something hailed as one of the year’s best action films, I found it heavily overhyped. The climax shows what it could’ve been, but overall, a missed opportunity.

SOULM8TE Review

M3GAN's spin-off #SOULM8TE is another obsessive AI android erotic thriller that mistakes predictability for suspense. 🤖

The biggest compliment I can give it? It looks expensive. The production design is sleek, polished and visually appealing, but that's where most of the praise ends.

Lily Sullivan does a decent job portraying an emotionless android, while David Rysdahl and Claudia Doumit simply play their parts without leaving much of an impression. The script never gives them enough to work with.

For a film backed by James Wan and directed by Kate Dolan, it's surprising how little it delivers. There's no real horror, no memorable thrills, barely any action, and the sci-fi angle isn't compelling enough to carry the experience. It ultimately feels like a futuristic take on Curry Barker's obsession rather than a gripping genre film on its own.

⚠️ R-Rated: Sexual content, graphic nudity and gore.

A direct digital release was probably the smartest call. It's hard to imagine this finding much of an audience in theatres.

Verdict: ★½☆☆☆(1.5/5)

Stylish production can't compensate for an uninspired screenplay and a painfully predictable narrative. A forgettable spin-off that never justifies its own existence.

The Devils Mouth Review 🦈

Prime Video's #TheDevilsMouth had all the ingredients for a tense survival thriller—killer sharks, an underwater cave system, and no easy way out. Unfortunately, it barely capitalizes on any of them.

The story follows five friends on vacation who decide to explore a cave known as The Devil's Mouth. Their adventure quickly turns into a fight for survival when they discover they're trapped deep inside with deadly sharks. From there, it's all about who survives, who doesn't, and whether they can find a way out.

Surprisingly, the CGI sharks aren't the film's biggest problem. The performances are. Katheryn Newton goes through most of the film with little emotional variation, making it difficult to connect with her character. Lana Condor, despite being a likeable screen presence, never fully settles into the role either. The rest of the group receives so little development that they're reduced to little more than shark fodder, leaving almost no emotional investment in their fate. 🎭

The film also stumbles with its visual presentation. Once the characters enter the cave system, it spends nearly the entire second half buried in darkness. While the intention is clearly to create claustrophobia and suspense, it often has the opposite effect. There were multiple moments where I genuinely couldn't tell what was happening, where the characters were, or what the camera wanted me to focus on. 🌑

For a film built around killer sharks, it rarely delivers the adrenaline, suspense, or memorable encounters the genre thrives on. Instead, it drifts through repetitive sequences that feel more exhausting than intense, making its runtime feel considerably longer than it actually is.

Verdict: ★☆☆☆☆ (1/5)

A survival thriller that never finds its bite. Weak performances, forgettable characters, and frustratingly murky visuals leave The Devil's Mouth struggling to generate either fear or excitement.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day Review 🕸️

#SpiderManBrandNewDay is exactly what its title promises—a fresh beginning. It doesn’t try to outdo every #MCU film before it, and that’s precisely why it works. 🕷️

Destin Daniel Cretton delivers a grounded, character-driven Spider-Man story with confidence, proving that heart can be just as compelling as spectacle. This feels like the direction Marvel has been missing.

After Shang-Chi and now Spider-Man: Brand New Day, I’m genuinely excited to see what Destin Daniel Cretton tackles next—whether it’s the long-awaited Shang-Chi sequel, another Marvel project, or something entirely outside the MCU. He’s quickly becoming one of the most dependable directors working in blockbuster cinema. 👏

Tom Holland gives his best performance as Peter Parker so far. The loneliness, responsibility, and humanity of the character finally take center stage, making this his most complete portrayal yet.

Jon Bernthal’s Punisher is a welcome addition, unlike his loud & irritating performance from One Last Kill. Zendaya and Jacob Batalon fit naturally back into the story, while Sadie Sink makes an immediate impression in her mysterious role with exciting potential for the future.

The visual effects are a noticeable step up and look fantastic. 🎬 I can’t wait to revisit it in 4K 2D HDR once it’s available digitally.

The score does its job, but a few major moments deserved music that hit harder and stayed with you long after the credits rolled. 🎼

Mark Ruffalo’s appearance, along with the Spider-Man vs. Raging Hulk sequences, is pure crowd-pleasing entertainment without feeling like empty fan service. 💥

The film isn’t without flaws. I can point out a few, but doing so would venture into spoiler territory. Also, while some emotional beats strive for a powerful impact, they don’t always resonate as deeply as intended.

If you’re expecting nonstop, universe-ending action, jaw-dropping twists, or an impossibly ambitious narrative, temper those expectations. This is a simpler story built around strong character moments, satisfying reveals, good callbacks, fun cameos, and an idea for what’s next.

The web-swinging sequences are everything fans have been waiting for, and Cretton absolutely understood the assignment.

Verdict: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5)

The best Spider-Man film of Tom Holland’s era yet —a grounded, emotionally satisfying superhero adventure that opens an exciting new chapter for both the character and the MCU.
