Hassan El Batta is my cousin's maternal cousin. He was named after his uncle and namesake who was executed by Israeli forces led by Ariel Sharon in 1956 during the Khan Younis massacre when over 1500 civilians were lined up and shot. Standing next to Hassan Sr. was his 15 year old brother, Nadid, also killed.
Hassan Jr was killed yesterday while out food shopping for his kids.
Israel has been and remains the biggest threat to human life in the region.
A killing machine dressed up as a state by Western colonialism with the sole purpose of eliminating life on the shores of East Mediterranean, like its crusader predecessors.

Channel 12: Yesterday afternoon, Reserve Sergeant Major Moalem and the late Reserve Sergeant Major Kelly went to inspect an IDF drone that had crashed at an outpost in the northern Gaza Strip. While the two—a sergeant and a squad commander from the 7007th Battalion of the 16th Brigade—were examining the drone at close range, it exploded for reasons yet to be determined. They were evacuated to Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon, where they were pronounced dead. An initial investigation indicates that it was a standard-issue drone flying an operational mission as part of a pre-approved activity (so the IOF claims it was a “standard drone” that blew them up instead of a remote controlled VBIED).

The Hind Rajab Foundation has filed a criminal complaint in Italy against Israeli soldier Yonatan Chalich, who is currently vacationing in Tuscany, over war crimes, crimes against humanity and acts of genocide committed in Gaza.

HRF links Chalich to the Tycoon Company of the Givati Shaked Battalion and three attacks in Gaza: the siege and destruction of Al-Shifa Hospital, the burning of the Haj Hamdi Harzallah Mosque, and the destruction of Palestine Square in Gaza City.

HRF says photographs place Chalich inside the hospital during the attack and is calling on Italian authorities to investigate.

More than 900 wheelchairs donated by Australian charities for children who lost limbs in Israel's genocide have been stuck in a Jordan warehouse for up to 18 months, blocked by Israel, which reportedly classified them as "dual-use" military items.

UNICEF says over 11,000 children in Gaza have life-changing injuries needing rehabilitation. The wheelchairs were built specifically for them. They cannot enter.

The same Israel that created Gaza's 6,000 amputees, 1 in 4 of them children, bars the wheelchairs meant to help them move. It also bars toilet seats, tent poles, sleeping bags, fuel, and hospital generator parts.

🚨BREAKING: “The occupation killed my son before my eyes”: Israeli strike kills son of Gaza Health Ministry director in Jabalia

Basir Muneer Al-Boursh, the son of Dr. Muneer Al-Boursh, director general of Gaza’s Ministry of Health, was killed in an Israeli strike in Jabalia, northern Gaza. His father said Basir was targeted just meters away from him.

Basir’s brother, Mohammed Al-Boursh, a general physician working in Gaza, told Drop Site’s Mohamed Ahmed Basir had been serving people and helping them fill their water containers.

Mohammed was on duty when he received news that his brother had been killed.

At Al-Shifa Hospital, Basir’s mother mourned her son: “My darling, my baby. My darling, my life. I hope I did not fall short with him.”

His voice breaking as he spoke, Dr. Al-Boursh told Drop Site: “The occupation targeted him in his tent. He was only meters away from me. It killed my son before my eyes. This oppressive occupation tore him in half with modern missiles. This is the occupation.”

Yasmin Al-Boursh, Basir’s aunt, said: “Every day, we lose our youth. Every day, we lose our children. Every day, we lose our women.”

“Little by little, we will all be gone. There is almost no one left,” she added. “Who is left? Who is left? No one is left.”

Basir’s killing comes nearly three years after Dr. Al-Boursh’s 13-year-old daughter, Jinan, was killed in an Israeli strike in December 2023. Dr. Al-Boursh was wounded and suffered fractures in the same attack.

Israeli occupation forces informed the family of 21-year-old Palestinian detainee Moataz Nizam Al-Atrash from Hebron that he had died inside Ofer Prison after more than 11 months of administrative detention without charge or trial.

His family said Israeli occupation forces summoned his father to the Jaabira police station in Hebron’s Old City, informed him of his son’s death, and then forced him to sign documents related to an autopsy of his body.

The family said Moataz had no known illnesses and that a detainee released the previous day, who had shared the same cell with him, told them Moataz had been well.

On September 16,1982, the Sabra and Shatila massacre began in Beirut’s Palestinian refugee camps, lasting for three days and leaving thousands of Palestinian refugees and Lebanese civilians killed.

The massacre took place during Israel’s invasion of Lebanon, shortly after the Palestine Liberation Organization evacuated Beirut. Israeli forces surrounded and controlled access to the camps while Lebanese Phalangist fighters entered and carried out the killings.

The exact death toll remains disputed, with estimates ranging from hundreds to several thousand.

More than four decades later, Sabra and Shatila remains one of the most devastating episodes in the history of Palestinian displacement and a symbol of the impunity surrounding atrocities against Palestinian refugees.
