By day, I work 14-hour shifts.
By night, I’m building Return Desk.
A Shopify returns automation tool for fashion brands.
Manual return chaos is real.
I’m fixing it.
If you run a DTC apparel store, let’s connect.
@rahulsingh_x@gokwik@ReturnPrime what issues are you facing with Return Prime? asking because I've built something simpler — happy to let you try it free
Any good shopify plugins to process returns/exchanges for apparel category? for some reason facing very stupid issues with @gokwik@ReturnPrime which they refuse to fix or are unable to.
I didn’t plan to build a returns tool.
I kept seeing growing apparel brands struggle with the same thing:
Orders go up.
Returns turn messy.
Inbox full of return emails.
Manual approvals.
Spreadsheets for tracking.
Confusing policies.
Support teams overloaded.
Founders don’t hate returns. They hate broken processes.
Most tools are built for enterprise brands. Too complex. Too expensive.
But stores doing 50–500 orders/month just need simple workflows that work.
A brand was celebrating 3x ROAS.
Then they checked SKU-level returns.
One product had a 24% return rate.
After fees, shipping (both ways) and labels…
That “winner” wasn’t very profitable.
Ad dashboards show revenue.
Return data shows reality.
Most Shopify fashion brands think:
Return = Refund.
Wrong.
Return actually has 5 hidden costs
• Payment fees lost
• Shipping (both ways)
• Label cost
• Ops time
• Dead inventory risk
Your 20% return rate is not 20%.
It’s margin erosion.
Are you tracking return cost per SKU?
@MelonbreadFBP That makes sense. Color accuracy is tricky, especially if lighting or fabric dye varies batch to batch. Did that first drop lead to more size swaps or mostly feedback adjustments?
Most Shopify brands know:
• CAC
• ROAS
• AOV
Very few know:
• Return rate by SKU
• Refund leakage
• Avg approval time
• Label cost per return
You can’t scale what you don’t measure.
Returns are a finance problem, not just a CX problem.
@designdelight25 @LogiwaWms Really like the repair/resale loop angle.
Out of curiosity — are you handling return approvals and data tagging manually, or do you use automation for that?
