I am Safikul, also known as Saif, a resident of Kolkata – Alpona Medical, Talpurkur, near Sramajibi Hospital, Road No. 31, Milki Badamtola, Piarapur P, West Bengal 712223.

I frequently travel between Mumbai and Kolkata, and for the past 4 months, we have been facing serious dust issues in our locality. The main cause is the nearby warehouse/factory, from where heavy dumpers and trucks are continuously transporting mud for land filling. A lot of this mud falls onto the roads, creating severe dust pollution. And when it rains, it turns into a mess that makes life worse for everyone here.

Despite several complaints from local residents, no strict action has been taken so far. Everyone seems to be taking this issue lightly, but it’s getting worse every day.

As a concerned citizen and social activist, I request the responsible authorities @WBPCB to please take immediate and necessary action before the situation worsens further.

I have attached two videos — one showing the warehouse activity and another showing the dust pollution. I will continue to upload more videos and evidence until this matter is addressed properly.

I’m lodging a formal complaint regarding a large warehouse located near Sramajibi Hospital, Road No. 31, which has become the main source of serious dust pollution in our area for the past 4 months.

🚛 Heavy trucks and dumpers regularly move mud for landfilling, dropping large amounts on the road. This causes intolerable dust, and during rains, the area becomes slippery and dangerous, worsening our living conditions.

Despite multiple verbal complaints by locals, no strict action has been taken so far. As a concerned citizen and social activist, I humbly urge the authorities to inspect and take immediate action before this hazard escalates further.

I have also attached video evidence showing the pollution and ongoing warehouse activity and will continue documenting until this matter is resolved.
