Cloning ≠ ∞
20-year study saw 1,200+ mice from one donor, with clones staying healthy for ~25 gens.
But ~70 mutations/gen stacked, success fell to 0.6% by gen 57, and by gen 58 all died.
Feels like biology’s version of data degradation. Copying a copy too many times, breaks.
