This remarkable achievement reflects her hard work, perseverance, discipline, and unwavering dedication. We are delighted and immensely proud of her outstanding success.

পশ্চিমবঙ্গ সরকারের জনমুখী উদ্যোগ “জন কল্যাণ শিবির” মানুষের দোরগোড়ায় সরকারি পরিষেবা পৌঁছে দেওয়ার এক গুরুত্বপূর্ণ পদক্ষেপ।

জলপাইগুড়ি শহরে জলপাইগুড়ি পুরসভার উদ্যোগে এই কর্মসূচি বাস্তবায়িত হচ্ছে। আজ মাদ্রাসা মাঠ, বউবাজার ও নেতাজি সুভাষ প্রয়াস ভবনে আয়োজিত জন কল্যাণ শিবির পরিদর্শন করি এবং উপস্থিত সাধারণ মানুষের সঙ্গে কথা বলি।

সামাজিক সুরক্ষা, স্বাস্থ্যসেবা, নাগরিক পরিষেবাসহ বিভিন্ন সরকারি সুবিধা এক ছাদের তলায় পৌঁছে যাচ্ছে মানুষের কাছে। মানুষের স্বতঃস্ফূর্ত অংশগ্রহণ এই উদ্যোগের সাফল্যকে আরও দৃঢ় করেছে।

উল্লেখ্য, জলপাইগুড়ি শহরের এই শিবিরগুলি আগামী ১৬ ও ১৭ জুন-ও চলবে।

I am deeply saddened by the tragic death of an innocent six-year-old child who lost their life after being hit by a vehicle in the Moynatoli area under Dhupguri Assembly constituency.

As per the direction of Hon’ble MP Abhishek Banerjee, I, along with Jalpaiguri District TMC President Mahua Gope, MLA Nirmal Chandra Roy, and TMC leaders Guddu Singh and Arup De, visited the bereaved family and conveyed our heartfelt condolences.

Later, I visited Jalpaiguri Medical College and met the child’s father, Nikhil Ghatak. As advised by the doctors, all necessary arrangements have been made to shift him to North Bengal Medical College for further treatment.

In this moment of immense grief, we stand firmly beside the family. I pray to God for the eternal peace of the departed soul and for strength to the family to endure this profound loss.

Following a sudden and destructive storm in Jalpaiguri town, several areas reported damage. Near the Gandhi statue area, a tree fell on an 11,000-volt electric line. I reached the spot and, along with the Fire Brigade and the Jalpaiguri Municipality team, worked to bring the situation under control.

Trees were also found fallen at Maskalai Bari Mahashmashan and in Ward No. 25. These locations were inspected on the ground, and the Municipal team has documented the situation and initiated necessary steps.

Meanwhile, near the Sadar BDO Office, a large tree had fallen. The Jalpaiguri Civil Defence QRT has already started the cutting and removal work.

With the coordinated efforts of all concerned teams, the overall situation is expected to return to normal very soon.

I am happy to announce that our Ma-Mati-Manush government has delivered on its promise to all its employees and pensioners, and to lakhs of teachers and non-teaching staff of our educational institutions, as well as employees/ pensioners of our other grant-in-aid instititions like panchayats, municipal bodies, other local bodies etc.

They will start receiving their ROPA 2009 DA arrears from March 2026 onwards as per the modalities detailed out in the Notifications issued by our Finance Department.
