BASIC VASTU RULES EVERY HOME SHOULD FOLLOW.

1. Keep the main entrance in the North, East, or Northeast. Make it the largest door, well-lit, clean, and free of clutter. It should open inward.

2. Place the master bedroom in the Southwest. Sleep with your head towards the South or East — never the North.

3. Put the kitchen in the Southeast (Agni corner). Cook facing East, and keep the stove and sink apart.

4. Reserve the Northeast for the puja room or an open, clean space. Keep it light, uncluttered, and free of toilets or heavy furniture.

5. Make the Southwest the heaviest part of the house — master bedroom, storage, and bulky furniture belong here for stability.

6. Keep the center of the house (Brahmasthan) open and free of walls or heavy objects so energy can move freely.

7. Prefer bathrooms and toilets in the Northwest or West. Avoid placing them in the Northeast or Southwest.

8. Arrange the living room in the North or East. Seat people facing North or East, and place heavy furniture towards the South or West.

9. Keep more open space and light in the North and East sides of the home. Keep the South and West heavier and more built-up.

10. Remove broken, cracked, or damaged items promptly. They block positive energy.

11. Avoid thorny plants like cacti indoors. Use plants such as tulsi, money plant, or aloe vera instead.

12. Prefer square or rectangular rooms and plots. Irregular shapes disturb balance.

13. Place staircases in the South, West, or Southwest. Avoid the Northeast and the exact center.

14. Keep the entrance free of shoe racks, dustbins, and obstacles. A clean threshold supports better energy flow.

15. Maintain overall cleanliness, order, and natural light. Clutter and darkness stagnate energy more than any single directional flaw.

After completing his https://t.co/YSvOF5fxhn in India, he moved to the United States to pursue an MS in Computer Science at the University of Oregon. He then started his journey as a Software Engineer at Hewlett-Packard.

He joined Microsoft as an Engineering Manager and left after 23 years of his career at Microsoft as a VP of Engineering to take care of his ageing parents.
