We know Proto-Dravidian existed because the words kaṇ (Tamil), kanu (Telugu), and khan (Brahui) all have the same root meaning "eye"

Almost all linguistic experts agreed. Proto-Dravidian is parent language of all dravidian Languages. Zero proof proto dravidian is same as tamil

Proto dravidian branched off in three distinct groups 3000-3500 years ago. From then both tamil and telugu evolved in to current forms separately.
