July 4, 1976 marked 200 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence, and New York Harbor celebrated in grand style. Over 200 vessels from around the world, including more than 40 tall ships, sailed in the Parade of Sail.
⛵ Tall Ship Spotlight: CISNE BRANCO 🇧🇷
Say hello to the Cisne Branco — or “White Swan” — the pride of the Brazilian Navy! 🦢 This stunning full-rigged ship was launched in 1999 and serves as a floating ambassador of peace, tradition, and Brazilian maritime heritage.✨
Ship Spotlight: INS Sudarshini. Say hello to the “beautiful lady” of the Indian Navy! This 54 m, three-masted barque was built in Goa and commissioned in 2012, following the design of her sister ship INS Tarangini. With 20 sails, 7.5 km of rope, & room for 30 cadets plus crew.
