Both saved the world from an incredible crash and depression that would have surpassed any economic incident since the 1930's Carney followed the same playbook of Powell.

I am impressed by the new NDP leader, @avilewis who has exceptional communication skills. He has such confidence, is so well prepared. He speaks with conviction & a vision for going forward, genuinely different from the Libs/Cons. No vacillation, fudging, or tricky language.

@Forbes Some of the responses to this story are revealing. There are people who don't care about what could really make America great again. Instead they revert to those powerful raw emotions many hold deeply: hate, racism, violent responses. Every generation and era goes through it.

I believe the superior political economies are pragmatic systems that do what is best for the interests of all. That means free markets. It means effective regulation. It means public and private interest.

Squawk Box trash-talking Mamdani should be a signal that his popularity is warranted. NYC is impossible for ordinary people right now. A more affordable city will help workers and business.

@elonmusk This argument goes back around a century to the economic debates of theories by Keynes and Hayek. Keynes was proven right. Simpleton analysis by Reagan doesn't change that. Politicians of both sides do it wrong, but taxes, spending, interest rates are necessary tools.
