Waking a dead lead acid battery: connect charger to dead battery, connect jumpers to alive battery as if jumping off a car, turn on charger connected to dead battery, charger wakes up. But now give 3 decades to charge before cranking amps will be ready. 🙄

Awesome. Arrive to the boat after being away for a couple of months and for some reason it is completely disconnected from shore power. Awesome. Batteries so flat the chargers won’t wake up.

Low tide is approximately at the normal high tide right now at Dog River. Good that it went back out, but the big slosh is coming soon.

It's 2am, 24hrs prior to the arrival of #HurricaneNate to #Mobile and the storm surge is already here. Dog River Marina boat yard.

The Dog River is hoppin' today. Seems like everyone finally found summer all at once. It is a beautiful Sunday.

After a sighting of about six manatees last night in #DogRiver, the spotters are out tonight. They are marked with buoys, apparently.

The boat gremlins got us again. Something in the shaft log or packing or alignment is way off, not even touched!

We can't get out of here. Ten minutes out and we get a huge wobble in the port engine. So far, it's not the prop. 🤔🤔

And, if you're curious, the little 20yr-old bottle is cooking a pork tenderloin on a #Magma grill and doing mighty fine. High rollers, yo.

Using a little tank of propane from #Coleman that sat in storage for nearly 20 years. Guess what. It works like it was purchased yesterday.
