Update from Hawaii 🌴
It’s been a wild few days for Oliver and Phoenix, who received a hero’s welcome upon arrival — but things are finally settling down. The newest members of the Waikiki Yacht Club (!!) are enjoying a well-earned breather while Oliver gets the boat cleaned up and ready for their next adventure.

Our Captain is also working on stepping out of his comfort zone — not just on the ocean, but in life. From solo sailing to public speaking, he’s continuously embracing the unknown.

Big things ahead. For now, we soak it in. And who knows… maybe there’s another giveaway coming soon from the official Sailing With Phoenix merch store? 👀

Update from Hawaii:
Oliver and Phoenix’s story continues to make waves — a new feature just aired highlighting their incredible journey across the Pacific and everything it took to get here. From risk to reward, their voyage is inspiring people far beyond the sea.

And to commemorate it all? Captain Oliver got a fresh tattoo. A permanent reminder of the miles, the meaning, and the mission.

Update from Hawaii:
Oliver and Phoenix are enjoying some well-earned downtime after their inspirational voyage across the Pacific. Phoenix is doing great—healthy, happy, and fully settled into boat life.

We’ve reached out to Oliver to hear more about what’s next and when he plans to continue his trip around the world so we’ll share any updates as soon as we have them. For now, the crew is resting, recharging, and soaking in island life.

"Oliver," recently quit his corporate job to sail around the world.

Oliver left Oregon 25 days ago and is moments away from docking in Hawaii.

After nearly three and a half weeks at sea, Captain Oliver has officially spotted Hawaii on the horizon. A dream that once lived in his head now a reality. If a year ago Oliver could see where he is now and the impact he’s had on the world, I’m not sure he’d believe it.

The journey is almost complete. From Portland to the Pacific, from an idea to a movement. We’re in the final stretch. Let’s welcome our sailors to Hawaii!

Just when we thought the SY_Phoenix crew was at capacity, Oliver has discovered yet another stowaway — a new 8 legged friend! 23 days of winds, rains, and rocky waters and this little guy hung on through it all. What should we name our newest 8-legged crew member? 🕷️

In a more serious update, Captain Oliver and Co-Captain Phoenix are closing in on their destination. The latest tracker shows them on course and holding strong — just one more big push until they make landfall. Let’s finish this journey strong!

Another day, another challenge — this time it was engine trouble. But in true Oliver fashion, he got it sorted and kept things moving forward. Just part of life at sea: adapt, fix, sail on.
