#MerryChristmas everyone! For today's #ootd we have this 1898-1900 Worth red silk ball gown. It has a lovely asymmetrical fitted bodice that is part beige silk and tulle netting and features a little decorative tassel. @metmuseum#Fashionhistory
There is something quite daring about this dress, unlikely though it might seem of an early c20th gown. The arrangement of lace falling from the throat offers shoulders that are covered yet visible, skin on display but not. At least I hope that was the effect it had @museumatfit
