@Dweeb_Justin Why can't people in this app ever just say "its not for me" or "I don't like it" instead of "it's bad". People are pointing out the intentional design choices because you people are trying to say it's objectively bad when its a matter of opinion.
I love the look of this edit and this is no shade to the artist, but I don't like how people are treating abundant detail in the design like an artistic error. These are not amateur artists conflating detail with depth. The excessive detail is an intentional part of the design...
@Orizzeus i have a feeling this will be an opinion held by a minority of people after a while because nothing about what makes links design interesting is lost with the remake design
@KingEnderRaptor fair enough, i don't entirely disagree. I just think the same design but HD would have definitely been leaning more in the "this will be graphics in 2013" direction.
It is true that sometimes, less is more. However these designs, especially with Link and Saria, are definitely meant to invoke an older interpretation of the high fantasy style that inspired the legend of Zelda's art direction in the N64 era.
Had some pita chips the other day with a nice seasoning on them and thought they would go good with some turkey pepperoni and cream cheese, now I wish a had them with turkey pepperoni and cream cheese
Would it be too much to say Sora is in fortnite partly because of Smash? Like, Disney realized how bad people want to see Kingdom Hearts because of people's reaction to him in Smash.
This only tangentially related but I recently replayed Sonic Riders and Sega seriously caught lighting in a bottle with that game. It really pains my that one of the best selling sonic racing games is basically a Mario Kart 8 clone, when riders was so unique and fun.
