Just spoke to the @BritishEmbassy and requested support for the inhumane detention of my family along with 250+ passengers, including women, young babies , elderly people. They have been locked up and sleeping on the floor for over 24 Hours. @VirginAtlantic left them stranded.

@VirginAtlantic why hasn't this been treated as an emergency? What's been done about this 28 hours later?They're still stranded in a confined space with no plans on onward travel. They're being treated worse than prisoners. At least prisoners have beds and regular food @BBCNews

Over 300 passengers, mostly Indian, have been stranded for over 12 hours at #Turkey’s Diyarbakir Airport after a Virgin Atlantic flight from #London to #Mumbai made an unscheduled landing due to operational issues. Passengers, including families and elderly travellers, remain frustrated as the airline has yet to provide alternative arrangements.

@VirginAtlantic I understand emergencies happen but passenger should still be looked after. My grandad has told me there has been no effort to accommodate or feed them a proper meal in the 14+ hours. You have a duty to ensure that their well being is cared for.
