Dear Calvin, unfortunately you don’t know who God is. You think the almighty God is Jesus and therefore you’re not saved.
1 John 5:20
And we know that the son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.
John 17:3
And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.
Jesus prayed and worshipped God. So should you.
John 4:23-24
But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship him in spirit and truth.
Colossians 3:17
And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
- That verse in context debunks the trinity.
John 10:27–33
I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.
- You’ve chosen to intentionally misinterpret “one.”
John 17:22-23
The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one, I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them.
Why you and Muslims are the same:
You believe in a god other than the only true God.
John 17:3
Jesus said: “And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.”
Mark 10:18 (also Luke 18:19)
“And Jesus said to him, ‘Why do you call me good? No one is good except God alone.’”
John 5:30
“I can do nothing on my own. As I hear, I judge, and my judgment is just, because I seek not my own will but the will of him who sent me.”
John 8:50
“Yet I do not seek my own glory; there is One who seeks it, and he is the judge.”
John 20:17
“…I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.”
John 8:42
“…I came from God and I am here. I did not come of my own accord, but he sent me.”
What you are describing here isn’t the Gospel written in Scriptures.
Jesus prayed to God and yet you insist Christ prayed to himself.
John 17:1
When Jesus had spoken these words, he lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, "Father, the hour has come; glorify your Son that the Son may glorify you."
Luke 5:16
But he would withdraw to desolate places and pray.
Luke 6:12
In these days he went out to the mountain to pray, and he prayed all night to God.
Mark 1:35
And rising very early in the morning, while it was still dark, he departed and went out to a desolate place, and there he prayed.
Matthew 14:23
And after he had dismissed the crowds, he went up on the mountain by himself to pray. When evening came, he was alone there,
Luke 23:34
And Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do."
@AlexDuncanTX@Truth_matters20@ScottRoberts God wasn’t manifested in the flesh. God sent His son. You have missed the very core of salvation.
John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
@AlexDuncanTX@Roaring_T_Rex@ScottRoberts It’s unnecessary to reply with such a long essay, almost as if you’re intentionally trying to overwhelm the reader.
Besides, it mostly fluff with no clear meaning.
@AlexDuncanTX@BuBdyc@ScottRoberts What you’re saying in this long-winded essay is that Jesus is god too. And you believe in at least two gods.
Well, that’s clearly problematic.
@AlexDuncanTX@Truth_matters20@ScottRoberts This is unnecessarily long and confusing.
The only God is the Father.
Jesus is son of his Father, God.
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God.
Simple. Nothing mysterious and complicated.
