Easy going and ready to help solve problems technically

[sirbiyicharles @biyicharles]

Earlier today around the Ogba axis of Lagos, I witnessed something that genuinely disturbed me.

One of the bola boys in the area was tearing open and emptying waste that had already been indiscriminately dumped by the roadside. We had driven past, but I couldn’t shake off what I had just seen, so I asked my driver to turn back.

When we returned, I confronted the individual and insisted that he put the waste back together and clean up the mess he had created. I was fully aware that the situation could have gone differently, especially because there were several of them around, but sometimes you simply cannot see something clearly wrong and choose to look the other way.

While I was speaking to him, a passerby who lives in the area and also works with @Lawma_gov supported the intervention. She told me, “This happens very often. They end up undoing the work we have already done.”

That statement stayed with me.

The truth is, achieving a cleaner Lagos cannot be the responsibility of government agencies alone. Government has a responsibility, LAWMA has a responsibility, waste operators have a responsibility but we, as residents, also have one.

We cannot demand cleaner streets while remaining silent when we see people deliberately contributing to the problem.

So my appeal to every Lagos resident is simple: if you see something, say something. Speak up responsibly, report environmental violations where necessary, and encourage others to do the right thing.

You may be surprised by how many people around you also want things to change but are simply waiting for someone to speak first.

A cleaner Lagos will require all of us.

I had one but it got bad and they said it can't be fixed. I run a business center and also do freelancing with it.
Would be grateful if I can get another one
