Sterling bank is looking to raise 400m dollars 🙂🙂.
They have agreed to collapse their current outstanding shares to a tenth of its current number.
From 68.5B shares to 6.85B shares, and hence destroy 61.6B shares from the market, so for every 10 you hold they would fuse it into 1 for you.
This means that sterling share price would move from 7.8 naira per share to 78 naira per share once they have regulatory approval from the stock market.
In a case of where part of the 400m dollars would be raised by private placement, right issue or public offer, they are now allowed to issue new shares to the public.
Interesting times ahead 🙂🙂🙂
General Sani Abacha. His actions and threats of a full scale war compelled Cameroon to take the Bakassi dispute to the ICJ. In 1994 he deployed the Nigerian military to the oil-rich Bakassi Peninsula in a tense standoff with Cameroon. The rapid show of force successfully halted Cameroonian advances and solidified Nigeria's control over the territory. Abacha retained control over the peninsula until his death in 1998.
TIME FOR NATIONAL RECONCILIATION, RE-ORIENTATION & RECONSTRUCTION
The 2027 Presidential election is expected to be a major fight between PRESIDENT BOLA AHMED TINUBU and his biggest challenger, ALHAJI ATIKU ABUBAKAR. It promises to be the battle of the Tians. A third force, hopefully, may show up, like it did in 2023, but not with enough fire power and tenacity to upstage, and obliterate, the two elder statesmen.
This is why it has become pertinent, and urgent, for our dear party ADC to change the traditional way of playing politics by becoming a link between the old and modern, conservative and cosmopolitan tendencies, veteran politicians and technocrats in government. There's no better combination than this duo, assuring of a colorful blend. The North and the South will reunite in a game of ethnic & religious rivalries.
The present combustive tensions, and absolute chaos, cannot be allowed to continue. It will consume all of us.
The time has come to retrace our steps and return to the days of robust ideas, ideologies and inspirational figures. Our founding fathers such as Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, The Sardauna Sir Ahmadu Bello, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, and others, tried their best, even if they were not perfect. Today, we've completely derailed from the legacies they bequeathed to us. The politics of gansterism has become unbearably malignant in our nation. This is the type of strong bridge we need between the North and the South.
We must act before it is too late...
AARE DELE MOMODU
The tides have changed so much.
In 2023, getting a solid VP for Peter Obi was a bit hard.
In 2027, getting a VP for Atiku is almost impossible.
Lessons.
BREAKING: Former President Goodluck Jonathan has been officially announced as the presidential candidate of the Makinde-backed Turaki PDP faction.
Jonathan was, however, absent at the affirmation ceremony and has not publicly declared interest in running for the presidency in 2027.
The certificate of return was, however, given to Fred Agbedi, a sitting member of the House of Representatives from Bayelsa State, to hold in custody, pending Jonathan’s decision on whether to contest the presidency.
Happy Birthday to my brother and fellow patriot, H.E. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, @ChibuikeAmaechi.
Your courage, conviction, and years of service to Rivers State and Nigeria continue to inspire many across the nation. I wish you good health, strength, and many more years of impactful service to our dear country. -AA
@AnnUdoh5 1. His parents are not being fair if they have not reprimanded him for sending money every month which leaves no room for financial growth.
2. As his wife, you are meant to be a back bone, guiding him, so you both can grow together instead you're also imposing multiple taxes.
@Wizarab10 Look objectively at what everyone is saying.
The manner in which he resigned was demeaning. If you were a leader and a member of your team resigned publicly with such a post, how would that make you feel? What would be the impact on other members of the group? Reflect on this.
The Architecture of GTBANK
A thread
The last one definitely gives Avengers, that Ajah oh will be forever GOATED. If your Architecture is not innovative you are still behind
From a purely business and ROI perspective, Atiku has spent roughly N250 million or more on purchasing party nomination forms to be President between 1999 till date and has never won an election. This is excluding N5bn per election cycle on securing delegates' votes and sundry.
The ADC is not missing this other man as he hoped we would. The wave in the north is fierce! It’s clear that for the top to bottom positions, to secure victory in the north, the only pathway is ADC. The battleground for all parties will be in the south. The north is firmly locked for ADC and we’ve thrown the key away.
2027: Why NDC, other Opposition Parties must Rethink Zoning Presidency To South – Atiku warns
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has warned opposition parties against zoning their 2027 presidential ticket to the South, saying such a move could weaken chances of defeating President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In a statement by his spokesperson, Olusola Sanni, Atiku described the push as “self-defeating and intellectually dishonest,” insisting politics should be based on strategy and “hard electoral arithmetic,” not “emotional talking points.”
“The first and most obvious question is this: how does a Southern opposition candidate realistically unseat a sitting Southern president?” the statement asked, adding that no incumbent president has been defeated by an opposition candidate from the same region.
The camp also argued that by 2027, the South would have spent about 18 years in power in the Fourth Republic, compared to about 10 years for the North, making the zoning argument difficult to justify “under the guise of equity.”
Atiku further accused some politicians of hypocrisy for supporting Goodluck Jonathan’s presidency in 2011 after the d+ath of Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, but now defending zoning as a sacred principle.
He, however, said the Southeast deserves “a sustainable and credible pathway to national leadership,” not “symbolic tokenism.”
