Father God, there is one lone Jamaican and one Bahamian in the three 200m semi-finals today. Restore us to the heights from which we have fallen. ππΎ #Paris2024
If you're looking for someone to root for the women's 800m final, maybe it's Shafiqua Maloney of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. π»π¨
She opened up to reporters about experiencing homelessness and chasing the Olympic dream.
βIβve been homeless β not having food to eat and all this stuff. God carried me through all of that and when I got here I had to believe that he didnβt bring me this far just to leave me and that he would carry me straight through. I made the final. I came in ranked like 27th and now Iβm in the top eight going to the final.
Iβm just thankful to be here and know that in my country back home, all the people have been supporting me. I think the country played a big part. The people in the country β monetary donations, prayers, good lucks, whatever the case may be. The country has been carrying me in.
Iβm glad to be out here representing. I think Iβm the first one in my country to make an Olympic final, so that in itself is an accomplishment. The job ainβt done yet, Iβve got to go recover and come back for tomorrow and make something shake.β

But for real real real, Kishane was spooked when linesman came over to him to adjust his finger. He told me so! Plus, the times are not adding up.
