@iamelijahcs Glad to have you here, Elijah! The learning curve in DR is steep, but breaking down live offers and staying consistent puts you ahead of 90% of people. Focus on the psychology and hold rates—the rest follows. Rooting for you!

The 133-day lifespan makes total sense looking at that opener.
Most brands fail here because they go for generic high-energy polish. This scene wins on execution:
1. Visual Contrast & Tone: The archive/library setting instantly builds organic curiosity and authority. It looks like leaked footage or a documentary, completely bypassing standard ad-fatigue filters in the first 2 seconds.
2. Pacing Trap: Starting with a low-key line ("I laughed too") creates an open loop. Viewers subconsciously pause scrolling because the cadence breaks the usual screaming TikTok/Reels tempo.
When an ad scales for 4+ months, the secret is rarely just the copy—it’s how the visual pacing respects cold audience skepticism. Great breakdown.
Solid script framework. The silent killer in execution is Phase 02 (Amplify the Problem).
Most editors treat points 03-09 as a static monologue. If the sound design doesn’t introduce subtle rising tension (micro-risers, sub-frequencies ducking under the voice) before the Mechanism Reframe at step 08, retention plummets before the viewer ever sees the product.
Pacing the audio bed is what actually carries cold traffic from hook to belief.
@IstvanicMarin Creative as an attention engine vs. product intent. The ad hooks them in, but the curiosity carries them across the store. Happens constantly when testing broad angles.
@herrmanndigital If AI agents are doing the buying, our ads just need to convince the bot’s prompt, not just human dopamine. Wild times ahead for video testing
@iamshackelford When Meta breaks attribution, the only thing left working is brute-force CTR and keeping people hooked past second 3. Back to the timeline we go.
@iamshackelford "There isn't anything new" hits hard on creative too. Winning ads rarely reinvent storytelling — they just dial in proven hooks with tighter pacing and sound design to keep cold traffic past second 3.Execution > novelty
@herrmanndigital LLMs are great for speeding up research or spitting out rough angles, but they have zero intuition for emotional timing, pacing, or why an edit actually hooks human attention. Using them as a calculator is fine; using them as your brain makes you generic.
@binghott Scaling creative volume without diluting the core hook psychology is always the hardest part of expanding the team.
Most editors focus on flashy motion graphics instead of retention and cold-traffic pacing. Having someone who actually edits for CAC/ROAS changes the game entirely
@DenneyDara@ElevenLabs The biggest bottleneck with AI localization is pacing drift.
German runs ~20-30% longer than English. If you just swap the ElevenLabs track without re-timing B-roll and micro-cuts, retention tanks on cold traffic.
Re-pacing the edit is where scale happens.
