It's officially the hottest June day ever.
We know who is to blame. Fossil fuel firms. The billionaire media. Weak politicians.
We know what we must do. Rapid decarbonisation & adaptation for a healthier, wealthier country safe for future generations.
History will judge Keir Starmer as a man who lied his way to the top of the Labour Party and then used that power to evoke Enoch Powell with “island of strangers”, keep children in poverty, attack disabled people, scapegoat refugees, strip back civil liberties, and hand our public services to Palantir.
A man who gave the top diplomatic job to the “best pal” of a convicted paedophile, said Israel has the right to cut off water and electricity to Gaza, rolled out the red carpet for Israeli war criminals, and kept the weapons flowing to the Israeli military as it committed genocide.
Good riddance.
Bills up.
Wages too low.
Record profits for Oil & Gas.
50 richest families with more wealth than 50% of population.
Shit in our rivers.
Pensioners jailed for protesting.
Migrants thrown under the bus.
Supporting a Genocide.
That's Starmer's legacy.
There is now clear evidence that the Great Israeli Real Estate event had unlawful activity at it.
I've written to the Mayor of London to ask what he intends to do about it.
This needs to be escalated immediately.
From Brighton to Glasgow, big numbers out today to say no to the far right’s attempts to divide us.
Let’s keep mobilising, to show our unity & our strength.
This man is a threat to our democracy. He backs violence and extremism.
Blaming a group of people for the awful actions of an individual leads us to a very dark place.
Musk, Lowe, Farage, Robinson - these men don't give a shit about this country, they want to rip us apart.
The thing about libel is it has to be untrue.
A Jewish baby born today in a West Bank community will have full rights in Israel, a vote in national elections, and access to civilian courts; a Palestinian baby born in that same community will have no democratic rights, tight restrictions on their movement, frequent harassment from settlers, and no access to justice beyond what Israel’s unaccountable military courts mete out.
That’s apartheid. It’s just literally apartheid.
If you think apartheid is really evil, such that it’s a terrible thing to say about a country, well, you’re right, it is. That’s why we have an issue here.
Israel is on high alert arresting hundreds of civilians on ships bound for Gaza carrying weapons such as bread, milk and medicine.
The people of Gaza have the right to aid even under occupation and siege, but international law clearly doesn’t apply to Israel.
Final note even though lots of other people are saying this bit: Zack does not own a £2m house. A lot of people writing stories about the "£2m house" do.
Yet again @SkyNews gets community noted
Yet again @SkyNews shuts down replies
Yet again @SkyNews lies by omission
Yet again @SkyNews prove themselves propagandists
Yet again @SkyNews IS NOT NEWS
A retweet by Zack Polanski is now the main story across every single media outlet.
Two days ago, it was revealed that Nigel Farage failed to disclose a £5 million gift from a crypto-billionaire.
It gets nowhere near the media attention, for straightforward political reasons.
Gent in yellow, "I'm an engineer, a scientist by background, and what I really care about is energy"
"And that's one of these things which I feel has been turned into a culture war"
"So let me say one thing"
"We know that heat pumps, insulation, EVs, etc can save half your energy usage"
"It's a massive difference"
"And Iran, while, and this is not just about climate change, we can use as a strategic reserve"
"We can use that oil for aviation or AI data centres"
"But we've got politicians here on the table today, I believe, who deny these facts"
"And why should we platform you when we can save that money? The energy. The money"
"And this also means that we're not paying the oil money to Russia, which uses it to strike Ukraine every day, and we pay again for defence missiles"
"So it's a very serious question. And this is the science, this is the fact. You cannot say that that does not save half the energy."
Hannah Spencer getting shit for highlighting how many MPs stink of beer is mental.
Pilots can’t drink before a flight. Train drivers can’t drink before a shift. Surgeons can’t drink before they operate. Soldiers can’t drink before they’re handed a rifle. Bus drivers, paramedics, police on duty, HGV drivers, none of them can turn up to work smelling of booze without losing their job.
MPs vote on laws affecting 67 million people. Apparently some people are totally cool with them doing that wankered.
Everyone enraged by the suggestion that alcohol is harmful also demonises other drugs. Their beliefs are based on arbitrary puritanical reasoning that is applied selectively. If reactionaries were consistent and considered even a little evidence, they’d want alcohol banned most.
But instead public support for criminalisation of each drug has no correlation with research on how harmful each of them are, and people overwhelmingly support the criminalisation of most drugs despite most admitting that it is an ineffective way to stop use.
Don’t ever let these people lecture you about how you’re the one who doesn’t care preventing drug use, addiction, and overdose deaths.
