After three weeks without trading outside Park Station, JHB, traders have returned. PRASA tried to prohibit trading near the station, fearing xenophobic violence. This is why we must ensure that all traders are treated with dignity. #NoToXenophobia https://t.co/NfdotScyO3

Our country needs a government with a plan to fix the economy. That includes protecting our independent traders, supporting female entrepreneurs, and making sure better products are available. #ANCPolicyConference
The #ANCPolicyConference has an opportunity to embrace tobacco harm reduction and support independent traders in getting safer and affordable products on to the market.
Even in the face of gender-based violence, discrimination and the disproportionate burden of domestic responsibilities, female traders show incredible strength. SAITA calls on the #ANCPolicyConference to support women in work now!
Staple goods in our country are becoming too expensive. We want to see the #ANCPolicyConference propose measures to bring down the cost of nourishing foods, like chicken, by reducing taxes and levies.
