A medical college should be a place to learn medicine — not a construction site.
This is the ground reality at GMC Jagtial: unfinished buildings, heavy machinery, dug-up roads and students continuing their education around ongoing construction.
Nearly four years after establishment, how much longer should students wait?
@NMC_BHARAT , please take note.

DAY 2 — GMC JAGTIAL STUDENTS’ PEACEFUL PROTEST
Day 2, and the students remain united.
Hundreds of medical students continue to sit peacefully, standing up for the basic infrastructure required for quality medical education.
We are asking for what every medical college must provide:
• A permanent college building
• Adequate lecture halls & laboratories
• Proper hostels and reading facilities
• Dedicated college transport for FAP & field postings
• Safe internal roads, drainage & basic campus facilities
• Hygienic dining and drinking-water facilities
These are not luxuries. These are the bare minimum required to train competent doctors.
We have raised these concerns repeatedly. We have waited. We have submitted representations. We have heard assurances.
Now, we are asking the National Medical Commission (NMC) to take note of the situation at GMC Jagtial and ensure that students receive the infrastructure and academic environment they deserve.
This is not a political protest. This is a student movement for our education, our training and our future.
We will remain peaceful. We will remain united.
And we will continue to speak until our concerns are addressed with concrete, time-bound action.

A step towards dialogue.
The Director of Medical Education (DME) has expressed willingness to meet the protesting students of GMC Jagtial and hear our concerns.
We welcome dialogue, but our demands remain clear: basic infrastructure, NMC-compliant facilities and time-bound action.
We hope this meeting leads to concrete solutions, not just assurances.
#GMCJagtialForgotten #GMCJagtialNeedsBasicInfrastructure #PromisesAreNotBuildings
When it comes to our college, we stand together.
GMC Jagtial students continue to stand united and peacefully for the campus and facilities we deserve.
We are not asking for favours. We are standing up for our education, our college and our future.
We hope the DME’s proposed meeting becomes a step towards real, time-bound action.

Different states, different backgrounds, but one shared struggle at GMC Jagtial — inadequate infrastructure affecting classrooms, laboratories, hostels, transport and basic academic facilities.
Medical students deserve better. NMC, please take note.

The story is being heard beyond our campus.

Our voice is getting louder.

This is where GMC Jagtial students are studying today.
A building being used as a temporary academic space, while the permanent college campus remains unfinished nearly four years after establishment.
Medical students deserve proper classrooms, laboratories, libraries and academic facilities — not makeshift arrangements year after year.
NMC, please take note.

They came to negotiate. We came to be heard.
We respect every effort to resolve the issue, but GMC Jagtial students will not step back from our demand for basic infrastructure and time-bound action.
This is not about politics. It is about our education and our future.

Another strong voice of solidarity for GMC Jagtial students. 🩺
The Telangana Senior Resident Doctors Association (TSRDA) has extended full support to our peaceful protest and highlighted the prolonged delays in college and hostel construction, inadequate academic infrastructure, overcrowding, shortage of faculty and lack of transport for FAP.
We urge the Government of Telangana and concerned authorities to take immediate, time-bound action.
Our students deserve the infrastructure required to become competent doctors.
