Key Findings:
1. Of 12,822 screen studies, only 43 acute/secondary stroke RCTs reported cognitive outcomes.
2. There were 66 unique cognitive assessments used within the 44 studies.
3. Average missing data was 22.2% (range: 0-62%)
Thank you to all the authors!
Our recent work published in @JAHA_AHA:
We show that cognitive outcomes are underused in acute/secondary stroke RCTs from 2011-2024. We need pragmatic, standardized tools that work across trials and can be completed by ALL patients.

Thank you @UofT and @UofTIMS for sharing my “day in my life as a PhD student” video. What started out as a hobby has grown into a passion for inspiring and motivating students! You can support and follow along on my journey - @sciencewithsajee on instagram!
A day in the life of a @UofTIMS & #UofT PhD student, Sajee!
From commuting to @UTSC to lead labs, to juggling work, meetings, & late-night catch-up sessions—it’s a busy day, but a good one.
What does your day look like? 🤔
No proposal or manuscript is ever perfect, but to be effective, it does eventually need to be finished.
Nothing we submit will ever be as good as it *could* be and just recognizing that can be an important step forward.
Perfection is not the goal. Finished is the goal.

Today's Nobel is a reminder to focus on the work and not the journal. The key publications cited by the committee were published in Immunity, Molecular Therapy, and Nucleic Acids Research. Respectable journals, but not the Big 3. The discoveries are what's important, not a name.

In Munich for the #ESOC2023. Caught in action vetting the prelim analyses of AcT-Cog, a sub-study of @ActRrct. It was great meeting @DrRickSwartz in person, after > 3 years of collaboration, and connecting with several stroke statisticians.
